Collaborative Linkages / Partnerships

The following were the international and local linkages entered into by the university in 2015:

  • Memoranda of Agreement/Memoranda of Understanding were signed for the academic exchanges, outreach, training and extension programs (University of Tsukuba and Hunan Agricultural University, and CAS Dept. of English and Humanities; PAC and CAS Dept. of Chemistry; CAS Dept. of Environmental Science and Bagong Sikat Ecopark signed; CLSU and AIMS universities).
  • WRMC MOA with the Department of Agriculture - Bureau of Agricultural Research (DA-BAR) for the implementation of the project entitled “Identifying Suitable Sites for Small-Scale Irrigation Projects in Region III through Water Resources Assessment”.
  • CLSU and DENR-CENRO collaborated for the implementation of the National Greening Program of the country as well as in the tree planting activity of graduating students (2014-2019).
  • CLSU through ICCEM and Notre Dame de Vie Institute collaborated for the sustainable integrated farming activities of the latter party.
  • The WRMC had signed a MOA with the Department of Agriculture - Bureau of Soils and Water Management (DA-BSWM) last May 27, 2015 for the implementation of the project entitled “Establishment of a Technodemo Farm for Solar Pump Irrigation System (SPIS) for High Value Vegetable Production”. This project has an approved budget amounting to Php 500,000.00.
  • The Research Office through its Socio-Economics Research and Development Communication Division maintained its linkage with the DA-RFO3 for the purpose of promoting CLSU technologies through the regions’ radio station - DWRW 95.1FM.
  • A MOA with DILG and LRIs was signed on May 4, 2015 at San Fernando, Pampanga.
  • The Training Office continued to strengthen its linkages with the CDA, DAR, DILG-Local Government Academy, and Office of Cong. Violago and PCAARRD for research, extension, trainings/semianrs, and consultancy services.
  • MOA with ICCT Colleges Foundation, Inc. for the grant/donation of the Golden Chinese Pavilion to CLSU, signed and executed on November 13, 2015.
  • MOA with PCAARRD for the project “Impact Assessment of the Closed Fishing Season Policy for Sardines in the Visayan Sea”.
  • MOA with Department of Agriculture - Bureau of Agricultural Research (DABAR) for the project, “Molecular Characterization and Gene Expression of TLR4 and MCH II-DRB3 Gene in Lactating Water Buffaloes and Goats”.
  • MOA between College of Veterinary Science and Medicine (CVSM) and Regional Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratories (Lipa City, Batangas, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan, and San Fernando City Pampanga) for the project, “Disease Surveilance Using RT-LAMP Test Kits”.
  • MOA between CVSM and Merial Asia, PTE. Ltd. for the project, “Prevalence of External and Internal Parasites of Stray Cats in Selected Cities in Luzon”.
  • MOA between CVSM and South Asia Field Epidemiology and Technology Network (SAFETYNET) for the project, “Conduct of the International Training Program on Bridging the Research to Policy Divide in Southeast Asia”.
  • Letter of Agreement between CVSM and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) for the project, “Development of a Surveillance Database for Cambodia and LaoPDR (using the model used for the Environmental Animal Health Management Initiative)”.
  • CAS-DMP conducted benchmarking activities in University of Singapore and Universiti Sainz Malaysia and worked out possible collaboration.
  • MOA with the DA for the Biotech Research project on Application and development of Molecular-based tools for the diagnosis and characterization of reproductive disease-causing abortion in livestock.
  • The CERDS had been registered as a Book Publisher and Seller to the National Book Development Board (NBDB). The CERDS had also coordinated with Filipinas Copyright Licensing Society, Inc. (FILCOLS).
  • MOA with Brgy. Lobbot, Dipaculao, Aurora thru the College of Fisheries for Alalay sa Kaunlaran (FAT-ASK) for collaborative action research cum community development program of the CF-FAC, CLSU.
  • MOA with Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) thru the College of Fisheries for “River Profiling within Ecotourism Site in Minalungao National Park, General Tinio under Manila Bay Project”.
  • The CHSI had established linkages with government research institutions such as PhilMech, DOST, Philippine Carabao Center, medium scale and multinational food companies also to industry partners for the OJT of students such as Solaire Resorts and Casino, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Link Pro Business Solutions, Harvest Hotel among others.
  • A draft of MOA between CAS Dept. of Chemistry and Dept. of Environmental Science and DepEd Cabanatuan was also prepared.
  • CLSU is now an institutional member of the Philippine Society of IT Educators.
