College of Education is now a Center of Excellence
The College of Education (CEd) of Central Luzon State University (CLSU) is now the Center of Excellence (COE) among 100 Teacher Education Institutions (TEIs) in Region III. The title was formally...
The Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RMUTSV), Thailand and the National Taiwan Ocean University, Keelung, Taiwan, established linkage with CLSU last July 15 and April 28, respectively.
We have capabilities today that previously were only within the realm of dreams. As a result, we have been reinvigorated by a deepened realization of the clarity and commonness of our goal; that of producing quality human resources and contributing more significantly to the social and economic development of our country. As a university, CLSU aspires to be a "model institution of higher learning dedicated to excellence."
Let us make an honest to goodness review of our action and performance. Have we made significant contributions in terms of breakthroughs, innovations, or workable ideas in our pursuit for new knowledge? Do we go out of our way to evaluate how things can be made easier and more efficient to enable our college, unit or office to serve our clientele better? Do we endeavor to maximize and optimize the utilization of whatever available resources we have, and be frugal in their use as we would if these were our own? Do we make a sincere effort to understand, explain and reconcile seemingly disparate information, so that there can be better understanding of what we are trying to do? Do we seek every opportunity to be of service and find satisfaction in giving it?
In these trying and challenging times, we must make the requisite affirmative response to the aforementioned queries. invariably, such action will call for some measure of sacrifice, and our utmost commitment. We must be ready to endure temporary sacrifice for more lasting benefits. The university expects no less.
It has been said that in life's final reckoning, it is not what we have made of ourselves that determines how well we lived, but rather how much we have given of ourselves in the service to others, to our university, to our community and to our country.
