Admission Requirements

FIRST YEAR STUDENTS

  1. Pass the CLSU College Admission Test (CLSU-CAT)
  2. Pass the health examination conducted by the University Hospital.
  3. Submit the following credentials:
    • 4th year high school report card (Form 138) or equivalent
    • copy of birth certificate authenticated by PSA (formerly NSO)
    • two pieces 2”x2” colored ID pictures
    • duly accomplished application form
  4. Submit other requirements prescribed by the concerned college.

TRANSFEREES

  1. Pass the CLSU-CAT or have at least 36 credit units of college courses leading to a degree from another institution of higher learning.
  2. Submit a copy of the following:
    • copy of birth certificate authenticated by PSA (formerly NSO)
    • two pieces 2”x2” colored ID pictures
    • certificate of good moral character
    • certificate of honorable dismissal or transfer credentials
    • copy of grades signed by the registrar or official transcript of records.
    • duly accomplished application form.
  3. Pass the health examination conducted by the University Hospital.
  4. Submit all other requirements as prescribed by the concerned college.
  5. No more than 25% failure of all units taken during the last semester.
  6. Comply with the provisions on validation of courses.

FOREIGN STUDENTS

  1. Pass the university and college admission test.
  2. Submit completed and validated credentials:
    • copy of birth certificate authenticated by PSA (formerly NSO)
    • two pieces 2”x2” colored ID pictures
    • certificate of completion of a secondary curriculum
    • original transcript of records
    • personal history statement
    • affidavit of support
    • alien certificate of registration
    • student visa
    • certificate of proficiency in English issued by the CLSU Department of English and Humanities for students coming from countries where English is not the medium of instruction
    • security clearance from his/her embassy
  3. Pay the non-refundable application fee.
  4. Pass the health examination conducted by the University Hospital.
  5. Present an approved application form.
  6. Satisfy other requirements prescribed by the concerned college.
  7. Meet all the prescribed requirements by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Bureau of Immigration and Deportation, and the Commission on Higher Education.

CROSS ENROLLEES

  1. Students of other institutions may enroll in CLSU for subjects needed for graduation.
  2. Cross-enrollees must present a cross registration permit from the registrar of their institution specifying the total number of units and the subjects to be cross enrolled.
  3. They must pass the health examination conducted by the University Hospital.
  4. They must present a certificate of good moral character.
  5. They should cross-enroll within the registration period only.
