Overview

As a center of higher learning and scientific research, keeping pace with the University and the national thrusts, the College has carved a name for itself. Its graduates have excelled in the board examinations for engineers and have occupied key management positions on which they have earned national and international recognition for their outstanding works. It has four departments, namely: Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, Civil Engineering, Information Technology, and Engineering Science.

Admissions

Upcoming CLSU students must complete the lorem ipsum with six or more credits including Science with a minimum average of 60 per cent and one of Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors or Mathematics of Data Management with a minimum average of 60 per cent.

Note: Admission is competitive. The specific average or standing required for admission varies from year to year. Students are selected by taking into consideration a wide range of criteria including school marks, distribution of subjects taken, and performance in subjects relevant to the academic program. Possession of the minimum requirements does not guarantee acceptance. Preference will be given to applicants with the best qualifications.

The application process and important dates/deadlines are outlined on our admissions website.

Course Offerings

Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering

The program is designed to produce graduates who possess knowledge, skills, and attitudes in the application of engineering science and designs to the processes and systems involved in the sustainable production, post-production, and processing of safe food and other agricultural and biological materials. It is also concerns the development of climate change mitigation measures to enhance human health in harmony with the environment.

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering

This program is designed to produce graduates who can apply the basic principles of science in conjunction with mathematical and computational tools to solve problems associated with developing and sustaining civilized life on our planet.

Bachelor of Science in Information Technology

The program includes the study of the utilization of both hardware and software technologies, including the planning, installing, customizing, operating, managing and administering, and maintaining information technology infrastructure that will provide computing solutions to address the needs of an organization.

Bachelor of Science in Meteorology

The program includes the study of atmospheric science that focuses on understanding weather processes and forecasting. Meteorology is an interdisciplinary science, drawing on basic knowledge, theories, and laws from a variety of scientific fields including physics, mathematics, and chemistry which aid in developing a strong understanding of the physical and dynamical processes affecting atmospheric motions or behavior.

The first two years of the program have a common curriculum featuring simulations, teamwork and case studies. In your third year, students can proceed to your chosen major.

PhD in Agricultural Engineering

Agricultural Engineering is a discipline based on applying core engineering principles to produce and process sustainable food, feed, and other bio-based products (i.e. fuel and other industrially significant materials). In the Philippine setting, this program focuses on agricultural power and machinery, irrigation and drainage of agricultural land, soil erosion control, planning of farm buildings, agricultural waste management, and post-harvest processing and storage. The graduates of Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Engineering major in Soil and Water Management are equipped to be leaders in innovation and development technologies for land and water resources utilization and conservation applicable to local and global scenarios.

MS in Agricultural Engineering (Major in Agricultural Machinery)

The degree provides a broad knowledge of the functional requirements and principles of operation of farm machinery, machinery selection and management, design of the appropriate machine, and application of systems techniques to bio-economic and technological problems involved in managing agricultural production.

MS in Agricultural Engineering (Major in Crop Process Engineering)

The degree prepares the graduates to provide dynamic leadership in the post-production operations to process and transform raw agricultural-based products into food, feed, fuel, and other commodities of economic importance.

MS in Agricultural Engineering (Major in Soil and Water Management)

The degree ensures future professionals to have a broad background in soil and water resource planning, design, management, administration, education, and research activities.
