CED Go Green Community kicks off

The Go Green Community project of the College of Education was launched on March 22, 2014 in Barangay Linglingay, Science City of Muñoz. 

 This project aims to reduce waste by recycling plastic bottles into organic vegetable farming receptacles thereby promoting sustainable development. 

 A survey was conducted by BSED Social Studies students under Asst. Prof. Cleotilde Villanueva to assess the waste management concerns and immediate needs of the community as part of their Summer class activities.

A thorough plan to address the community concerns on solid waste management and livelihood was developed using the data from the survey. 

 The activity was attended by Dean Rhodora Dela Rosa, Brgy. Chairperson Rene Ibarra, Assoc. Prof. Vilma Salas, Asst. Prof. Cleotilde Villanueva, Ms. Coreen Frias, Ms. Hiyasmin Malicdem, Mr. Jonathan Carrasco, Mr. Raffy Fajanela, CED Student Council and Linglingay’s Barangay Officials.
