Geared on aligning the Teacher Education Curriculum to Philippine Professional Standard for Teacher Education, Central Luzon State University partnered with the College of Education of Wesleyan University-Philippines (WU-P) and Eduardo L. Joson Memorial College (ELJMC) for the undertaking of Curriculum Quality Audit (CQA).
The training aims to capacitate faculty members in the tertiary level to do self-assessment of their respective curricular offerings in line with the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST).
CQA is a process focused on pre-service teacher education and curriculum that identifies, analyzes, and addresses alignment and/or gaps with the Beginning Teachers Indicators (BTIs) which articulate the level of professional knowledge and skills recognized for entry into the teaching profession.
CEd CLSU is one of the nine institutions in the Philippines to be part of the first batch of recipients of the Certificate of Complianace on August 3, 2018 for having submitted its curricular offerings to CQA.
Dr. Regidor G. Gaboy, college dean, and two faculty members—Mrs. Marites D. Antonio and Mr. Vincent R. Feliciano—served as trainers.
The three speaker attended series of trainings and workshops organized by the Philippine National Research Center for Teacher Quality (RCTQ), in partnership with the Basic Education Sector Transformation (BEST) Program.
