Aside from the frontliners working directly to beat the coronavirus, the backliners are at work, too. Using a power sprayer with disinfectant mixture provided by Dr. Emily Jacinto, the University, through the Extension Office, University Infirmary, and the Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension and Training, started to disinfect the major streets inside the campus including the CLSU Village, University Avenue, Old Market, Marketing, and the San Juan and Sawmill areas as one of its preventive measures. The disinfection team led by Mr. Efraim Saturno, Non-Academic Staff Association President, together with Mr. Edgar Paraguison, Mr. Jose Gallardo, Mr. Filipe Dirilo, and brothers’ Sonny and Celso Valenzuela, will continuously do this activity until the situation subsides. This simple act from these backliners is their contribution to the spirit of ‘ bayanihan’ being realized in the CLSU community, as it depicts the importance of cooperation and working as one to be able to combat the spread of the coronavirus.
