The Central Luzon State University, in its continuous pursuit of providing excellence in education, bagged two awards from the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) during the 2022 Gawad Parangal Awarding Ceremony held today, May 18, 2022, at the Quezon City University.
CLSU President Edgar A. Orden represented the University in the said event and received the awards wherein CHEd recognized CLSU for being one of the nine State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) with the highest number of Center of Excellence (COE) in the country for the Edukalidad: Parangal sa Kahusayan, while the other is for obtaining the 4th rank among the SUCs for having the most outstanding number of issued Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC).
During his speech, Chairperson, Dr. J. Prospero E. de Vera III honored the commitment of the State Universities and Colleges to giving quality education to the young people of the Philippines.
Meanwhile, President Orden said that he is very proud of the achievements of the university and recognizes that these are made possible through the collective efforts of the different programs/departments with CLSU being united in its goal of being a world-class university.
Indeed, CLSU will always stand true to its mission of developing globally competitive, work-ready, socially responsible, and empowered human resources who value lifelong learning; and generating, disseminating, and applying knowledge and technologies for poverty alleviation, environmental protection, and sustainable development.
