CLSU concludes 4-day AACCUP Online Accreditation

Esteemed AACCUP accreditors has recently concluded the four-day accreditation, and expressed notable impression on the six accredited curricular programs of Central Luzon State University (CLSU) which was held from September 5-8, 2022.  

Dr. Romeo A. Gomez of Benguet State University, evaluator and team leader for PhD in Environmental Science, commended the reasonable range of options in terms of the area of specialization and research direction for students. He also pointed out the relativeness of the program in terms of environmental planning and management in the region.  

“The BS in Environmental Management has a strong roster of faculty scientists and researches whose R&D works are being published and recognized in the international arena, said Prof. Marilyn A. Siguenza, accreditor for the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management.  

Meanwhile, Dr. Gerald B. Monsato of the Visayas State University, accreditor for the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, acknowledged the CLSU Team for their commitment and passion, and determination to go the extra mile in order to achieve excellence.    

For the overall impression of the accredited programs under Level III-Phase I, Dr. Isidro Duran of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, highlighted seven points: 1) testing the authenticity and relevance of the documents were upheld; 2) interviews were conducted to verify and validate the different activities undertaken by the six programs; 3) level of compliance on previous recommendations of the accreditors were gauged based on the supporting documents and were done comprehensively; 4) preparedness level was measured based on the creativity of the local task force; 5) implementation and outcomes of projects and activities were conducted following the paper trail; and 7) analysis of the uploaded documents on the accreditation portal were done systematically.

As a response, University President Edgar A. Orden delivered the pledge of commitment based on the observations and recommendations of the AACUP accreditors.

“This to commit the whole University to implement what is necessary. It is always the goal of CLSU to provide the best to its stakeholders; it is our goal and vision to provide excellent service to our clienteles particularly the students,” President Orden said.

Concluding his speech, President Orden expressed his hopes to conduct face-to-face accreditation in the near future.
