CLSU Among Top PH Universities in UN SDGs Global Ranking

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) solidifies its international reputation as it claimed the 4th spot among the leading universities in the Philippines where it garnered an overall sustainability score of 57.9; placing the university in the 801-1000 bracket of the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2023.
CLSU tied with Mapua University Philippines, Philippine Normal University, and Saint Louis University among the 29 Higher Education Institutions that participated in this year’s ranking.
The University was assessed based on the impact it made on the 5 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) it participated namely, (7) Affordable and Clean Energy, (13) Climate Action, (14) Life Below Water, (15) Life on Land, and (17) Partnerships for the Goals.
CLSU maintained its top performance in addressing climate change through environmental education as it placed 1st in the country and 201-300 globally in SDG 13. Meanwhile, CLSU also fared well in achieving sustainable energy as it positioned itself 2nd in the Philippines and 301-400 globally in SDG 7. Also, it clinched the 4th spot nationally and 201-300 internationally in SDG 14.
The 2023 THE Impact Rankings is the fifth edition, wherein the overall ranking includes 1,591 universities from 112 countries/regions. The THE measures the performance of each university on the attainment of the 17 UN SDGs.
