CLSU Inks partnership with Hokkaido University to Address Emerging Animal Diseases
Hokkaido University International Institute for Zoonosis Control inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Central Luzon State University (CLSU) to further study solutions on the emerging and reemerging transboundary animal diseases held on March 6, 2023, at the Administration Conference.
University President Edgar A. Orden and Dr. Yasuhiko Suzuki, Director and Professor of Hokkaido University led the MOU signing while Dr. Jeewan Thapa, Assistant Professor at Hokkaido University, and Dr. Virginia M. Venturina, Director of Center of Transboundary Animal Diseases and a Faculty of the Department of Pathobiology, Dr. Noraine B. Medina, Dean of the College of Veterinary Science and Medicine, served as witnesses during the signing.
The said partnership intends to have a joint pursuit in academic, educational, and research cooperation associated with and limited to the field of public health microbiology, zoonoses, and other related areas in health science.
President Orden conveyed his appreciation for the effort of Hokkaido University in making the collaboration possible. He looks forward to an engaging, active, and sustainable partnership with Hokkaido University and other International Institutions.
