CLSU LUDIP Gets Approval from the BOR
The Board of Regents (BOR) approved the proposed 2021-2031 Central Luzon State University (CLSU) Land Use Development and Infrastructure Plan (LUDIP) during its 2021 Special Meeting last November 5, 2021.
This initiative of the CLSU is in full compliance with the Republic Act 11396 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations. On August 22, 2019, President Rodrigo Duterte signed a law requiring State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) to draft and submit their respective development and infrastructure plans to ensure proper management of land resources.
Pursuant to this law, CLSU prepared and submitted its LUDIP to the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) to follow the University’s development plans for all future infrastructure projects.
In the CLSU LUDIP, frameworks, principles, and processes, including a master development plan for the campus were included. It also covered the detailed geographic description and survey of occupied sites, including all brownfield sites. Moreover, a list of all existing buildings, facilities, and other infrastructure within the site or property area was presented as well as the cadastral survey of land occupied by CLSU.
Also, the description of the research core, the academic core, and the residential areas, including both faculty housing and student housing were indicated in the CLSU LUDIP. A detailed geographical description of land used for business, agriculture, fishing, forestry, and other activities was also part of the output which includes open and recreational areas, landscape features, and campus transportation systems.
Meanwhile, the costs and financial plan for construction, operation, and maintenance of the University's other infrastructure needs and its budget were also estimated and indicated in the CLSU LUDIP.
Through the CLSU LUDIP, the strategic and innovative direction of all the physical developments to be constructed and/or implemented or the future land use.
