CLSU Partners with Jollibee Group Foundation

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) forged a new partnership with the Jollibee Group Foundation (JGF) after signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on September 19, 2022 that aims to bring the agricultural technologies to the farmer-partner of the JGF under their Farmer Entrepreneurship Program.
University President Edgar A. Orden and JGF Executive Director Ma. Gisela H. Tiongson led the MOU signing while Dr. Armando N. Espino, Jr., VP for Research and Extension, Dr. Maria Excelsis M. Orden, Director of University Research Center (URC), and Dr. Eugene G. Baltazar, Director of University Extension Center (UEC) served as witnesses.
Through this partnership, the JGF commits to support the onion projects of the University particularly the off-season farming in their target areas.
In response, Dr. Orden assured the participation of the University using the existing technologies and its continuous research endeavors on onions that will further improve the production of the local farmers.
In addition, Dr. Baltazar pledged the expertise of the UEC in implementing the Agro-enterprise Clustering Approach (AECA) which was successfully adopted by the farmer-partners in the Science City of Muñoz and Talavera areas under the CLSU Techno Village Development Program.
