CLSU unveils Plant Pests and Diseases Research Center

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) through the College of Agriculture (CAg) inaugurated the Plant Pests and Diseases Clinic Surveillance and Research Center building last December 7, 2022 located along the road leading to CAg.
The two-storey building is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for the assessment and research on the biology of plant diseases and pest insects. The center plays a vital role in the development of strategies to manage problems related to crop diseases that befall farmers in Nueva Ecija and the rest of the Philippines.
“The establishment of this research center serves as a challenge to all of us. [...] We need to deliver research and innovations that will address problems of our farmers. In this way, we will be more relevant to the community which is one of the mandates of CLSU,” said Dr. Alona T.Badua, Dean of the CAg. She further stated that the center will be used for research collaborations that will contribute to the vision of CLSU in becoming a national research university and more importantly serving its stakeholders in agriculture.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Dr. Ronaldo T. Alberto (Retired professor and former Dean of CAg who was the proponent of the center), Dr. Danilo S. Vargas, Vice President for Administration, Dr. Arthur D.
