The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) launched the coffee table book highlighting the utilization of dragon fruit peel entitled InPEELnity: Turning Waste into Things with Good Taste, during the National Agriculture and Fisheries Technology Exhibition (NAFTE) and 36th-anniversary celebration of the Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Agricultural Research (DA-BAR) on August 16, 2023.

Dr. Dana G. Vera Cruz, project leader, and her team of the DA-BAR funded project on dragon fruit was able to translate research into opportunities as they explored and discovered the health benefits present in dragon fruit peel and developed food products, beauty products, herbal supplements, paper and craft, and colorant.

The coffee table book contains seven parts which include the background of the research grant, the nutritional value of dragon fruit peel, the process of developing food products, and the journey of the research team in implementing the two-year project.
