CLSU President Dr. Edgar A. Orden led the oath-taking ceremony of the new set of University Supreme Student Council (USSC) officers with Ned Ivan Cruz, a BS Biology student as Chairperson and Student Regent along with five officers and seven college councilors on August 24, 2023.

In his inspirational message, Dr. Orden congratulated the new officers and enjoined them to partner with the administration in the advancement of the students that they represent. He also reminded the officers to also prioritize their academics while fulfilling their roles and obligations as elected student leaders.

“Let the USSC be a partner of the administration in doing good things for our university.  Umaasa ako na magiging magkatuwang tayo para sa ikabubuti ng CLSU,” said Dr. Orden.

On the other hand, Dr. Orden expressed his gratitude to the outgoing USSC officers for their coordination and cooperation with the activities and programs of the university.

As leader of the whole CLSU community, Dr. Orden also shared some advice to Cruz regarding leadership, management of funds, proposals, and possible plans of the office.
