University President Edgar A. Orden graced the unveiling of the 10th Peace Monument established by the Aurora State College Technology (ASCOT) held today, June 2 at the Ermita Hill, Baler, Aurora.

The unveiling ceremony was spearheaded by ASCOT President Eutiquio L. Rotaquio, Jr. together with Dr. Ronald L. Adamat, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Commissioner, Mr. John Rommel Garces, Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) Philippines Chief Branch Manager, and ASCOT key officials.

The said event commenced through a peace walk joined by around 200 faculty, staff, and students.

In a congratulatory speech, President Orden commended ASCOT for following through the activities advocating peace wherein CLSU was the first Philippine Higher Education Institution to push such initiatives as supported by CHED Commissioner Adamat.

The attendance of President Orden at the said event signified the strengthened commitment and relationship between CLSU and ASCOT as a ‘big brother-small brother’ institution.
