The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) and University Supreme Student Council (USSC) organized the opening event for academic year 2023-2024 dubbed as SIKAD – ‘Sinag ng Kalinangan, Agapay at Dalubhasaan’, which will feature a variety of programs and events from August 7-11, intended for all the students especially the freshies.

A loyalty walk from the main gate to the athletic field and an opening program formally kicked-off the event attended by students from the different colleges and the CLSU officials, faculty and staff led by the Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, VP for Administration and OIC, Office of the University President.

Students dressed in their unit colors to represent their colleges lined up in the athletic field and enthusiastically listened to the messages of Ned Ivan P. Cruz, elected USSC Chairperson, Dr. Ravelina R. Velasco, Acting VP for Academic Affairs and Dr. Evaristo A. Abella.

Activities such as orientation for first-year students, busking, talent showdown, student bazaar, street chalk art exhibition, an educational tour around the campus and other college-initiated activities will fill the week-long event.
