October 11, 2023 - 09:39 am

On the third and final day of the Research Innovation and Development (RIDe) Festival 2023, students, faculty and staff from the different colleges and R&D centers showcased their culinary skills during the KAMALIG Fiesta Cooking competition organized by the College of Home Science and Industry (CHSI).
Five pairs of students prepared a Filipino rice dish that highlighted the commodities found in the KAMALIG area, such as tilapia, mushrooms, organic vegetables, native chicken, and spices among others. On the other hand, under the employees’ category, a nutritious, affordable, yet flavorful dish should be prepared within 90 minutes including the preparation of their innovative and mouth-watering dishes.
Meanwhile, with an aim to commercialize CLSU-generated technologies, a total of 13 research products were pitched to possible investors from different private and public agencies, 8 of which are food products and 5 are non-food products including the test kits for crops and animal diseases.
A sit-down meeting with the technology takers followed right after the pitching proper to discuss the details of the agreement.
