UTSS Faculty Visit CLSU Laboratory High Schools

The University of Tsukuba Senior High School at Sakado (UTSS), Japan, visited the Central Luzon State University (CLSU) Laboratory High Schools on March 8, 2023.
Dr. Edgar A. Orden, University President, together with Dr. Renato G. Reyes, Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) and Director of the International Affairs Office (IAO), Dr. Regidor G. Gaboy, College of Education (CEd) Dean, and some faculty members from the CLSU Laboratory High Schools (USHS and ASTS) welcomed Mr. Yoshikazu Tatemoto, Director for Committee of International Education and Program Development and Mr. Kenichi Yoshida, Coordinator of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, two Professors from UTSS, to discuss opportunities for international collaboration and/or partnership between UTSS and CLSU Laboratory High Schools.
As part of the meeting, Dr. Remedios Z. Panuyas, USHS Head, presented the CLSU Laboratory High Schools unique curricular offerings that have emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture, and Mathematics (STEAM).
The CLSU Laboratory High Schools (USHS and ASTS) also highlighted their Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)-related activities, some internationalization involvement of faculty and students, and research breakthroughs. They also presented some student and teacher exchanges program and research publications.
The CEd looks forward to the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the UTSS until this coming April.
