CLSU Graduate programs undergo AACCUP Accreditation
Four graduate programs of the university go through an online preliminary survey visit by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP) in its continuous pursuit for excellent service and quality education as an institution of higher learning.
The accreditation, scheduled on July 19-21, 2021, will scrutinize the following programs: Doctor of Philosophy in Development Communication and Master of Arts in Language and Literature under the College of Arts and Sciences (CASS); Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Management under the College of Science (CS); and Master of Science in Guidance and Counseling under the College of Education (CEd).
The evaluators for the aforesaid curricular programs are esteemed professors and accreditors from other SUCs, namely Prof. Rosalea Fenina A. Margallo from Cebu Technological University - Moalboal Campus, Dr. Jennifer M. Eboña from the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture - Pili Campus, Camarines Sur, Dr. Sonia R. Low from Caraga State University, and Dr. Gwendelina A. Villarante from Cebu Normal University.
During the opening program, President Edgar A. Orden acknowledged the accreditors and emphasized the need for their respective comments and suggestions to improve the curricular programs of the university, especially those under the preliminary survey visit
He also recognized the CLSU Accreditation Task Force and said, “I know you all worked hard and even extended working hours to prepare for this moment; thank you for giving your best and good luck to all of you.”
The online accreditation activity of the university will form part of the many adaptations done in compliance with the prevailing restrictions brought about by the CoViD-19 pandemic.
