AACCUP Recognizes CLSU as Top 2 Performing SUC in the Country

The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) recognized Central Luzon State University (CLSU) as second among the top-performing State Universities and Colleges (SUC) with the highest number of Level IV retained programs in 2023 during the 37th AACCUP Annual National Conference on March 22, 2024 held at Century Park Hotel, City of Manila. CLSU currently have 46 AACCUP accredited programs with different levels of accreditation including the 7 programs with Level IV Retained status. Included in the 7 programs are: Bachelor of Science in Biology, Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Secondary Education, Master of Science in Aquaculture, Master of Science in Education and Doctor of Philosophy in Development Education. The plaque of recognition was received by Dr. Ma. Ruby Hiyasmin M. Delos Santos, faculty of the College of Education, Dr. Luzviminda S. Quitos, faculty from the College of Science, and Dr. Camia A. Lasig, College Librarian. The Quality Assurance Office headed by Dr. Eden S. David is continuously assisting the CLSU local task force in submitting the curricular offering for accreditation.

TESO Continues CAT Promotion Through Pencil Donation Drive

Passed from the hands of hopeful dreamers to the hands of young learners, the Testing and Evaluation Services Office (TESO) continues its promotion of the CLSU Admission Test (CAT) while extending support to the primary learners of the DepEd-CLSU Elementary Laboratory School through a Pencil Donation Drive themed “Ang Lapis Mo, Ang Susulat sa mga Pangarap Ko” on September 28, 2026. University President Dr. Evaristo A. Abella led the distribution of 1,300 pencils to 600 pupils, alongside Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Ravelina R. Velasco, Head of the Testing and Evaluation Center Dr. Elmer D. Dela Rosa, and School Principal Jocelyn De Guzman. The Pencil Donation Drive forms part of the CAT promotion campaign and was made possible through the contributions of examinees who took the previous CAT.

CLSU, Soroptimist International Launch ATE GOES AGRI Scholarship for Female Agriculture Students

Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through its Office of Student Affairs (OSA), officially inked a Memorandum of Agreement with Soroptimist International of Metro Manila Northwest District to establish the ATE GOES AGRI Scholarship Program: Advancing Growth, Resilience, and Inclusion through Education. The MOA signing was led by University President Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, Dr. OSA Dean Irene G. Bustos, and District Director Ms. Jennifer Joan Bayot. The event was witnessed by Ms. Josephine D. Cariño. The educational assistance program empowers financially disadvantaged young women pursuing agriculture degrees by building their technical and leadership skills to prepare them for careers in sustainable agriculture, food security, and community development. This partnership will benefit five qualified female students from the CLSU College of Agriculture who demonstrate financial need. Each scholar will receive a PHP20,000 stipend for the academic year. The CLSU-OSA will facilitate the program's implementation, tasked with screening applicants, verifying academic status, monitoring scholars, and managing progress reports. This new partnership underscores a shared commitment to breaking financial barriers for women in agriculture, equipping the next generation of female leaders to drive innovation in their communities.

CLSU Sustains Reporter Status in Times Higher Education World University Rankings

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has once again sustained its Reporter status in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings following a comprehensive evaluation of its institutional performance. This ranking framework assessed the university across fundamental areas, including teaching environment, research environment, research quality, industry engagement, and international outlook. Marking its fourth consecutive year of inclusion in THE-WUR, CLSU remains committed to achieving a ranked position by strengthening its research output, expanding scholarly publications, and enhancing global academic collaborations.
