ASTS Receives Donations from SANTEH Foundation and Techno Skills for Asia Pacific Inc.

The Agricultural Science and Technology School (ASTS), under the supervision of the CLSU Laboratory for Teaching and Learning (CLTL) of the College of Education (CEd), recently received substantial donations of equipment such as heavy duty mixer and gas ranges, tools, and personal protective equipment (PPE) from SANTEH Aquaculture Science and Technology Foundation. These contributions aim to strengthen the ASTS programs in aquaculture and home technology. Associate Professor Dr. Verjun J. Dilla, head of the CLTL-ASTS, underscored the importance of the activity highlighting how such collaborations are pivotal to the university's mission of fostering innovation and inclusivity in education. This was echoed in a message delivered by Dr. Lalaine Ann Manuel on behalf of Dr. Florante P. Ibarra, CEd Dean, reaffirming the University's dedication to engaging stakeholders and fortifying relationships with organizations that align with its vision for comprehensive student development. Representatives of the Fisheries and Home Technology students, along with the Parent-Teacher Association, expressed their profound gratitude for the generous donations. They emphasized that these resources would have a significant positive impact on their academic and practical pursuits. The event concluded with a guided tour of the CLTL-ASTS Fish Pond and Food Laboratory, which showcased the facilities that will benefit from the donations received.

TESO Continues CAT Promotion Through Pencil Donation Drive

Passed from the hands of hopeful dreamers to the hands of young learners, the Testing and Evaluation Services Office (TESO) continues its promotion of the CLSU Admission Test (CAT) while extending support to the primary learners of the DepEd-CLSU Elementary Laboratory School through a Pencil Donation Drive themed “Ang Lapis Mo, Ang Susulat sa mga Pangarap Ko” on September 28, 2026. University President Dr. Evaristo A. Abella led the distribution of 1,300 pencils to 600 pupils, alongside Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Ravelina R. Velasco, Head of the Testing and Evaluation Center Dr. Elmer D. Dela Rosa, and School Principal Jocelyn De Guzman. The Pencil Donation Drive forms part of the CAT promotion campaign and was made possible through the contributions of examinees who took the previous CAT.

CLSU, Soroptimist International Launch ATE GOES AGRI Scholarship for Female Agriculture Students

Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through its Office of Student Affairs (OSA), officially inked a Memorandum of Agreement with Soroptimist International of Metro Manila Northwest District to establish the ATE GOES AGRI Scholarship Program: Advancing Growth, Resilience, and Inclusion through Education. The MOA signing was led by University President Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, Dr. OSA Dean Irene G. Bustos, and District Director Ms. Jennifer Joan Bayot. The event was witnessed by Ms. Josephine D. Cariño. The educational assistance program empowers financially disadvantaged young women pursuing agriculture degrees by building their technical and leadership skills to prepare them for careers in sustainable agriculture, food security, and community development. This partnership will benefit five qualified female students from the CLSU College of Agriculture who demonstrate financial need. Each scholar will receive a PHP20,000 stipend for the academic year. The CLSU-OSA will facilitate the program's implementation, tasked with screening applicants, verifying academic status, monitoring scholars, and managing progress reports. This new partnership underscores a shared commitment to breaking financial barriers for women in agriculture, equipping the next generation of female leaders to drive innovation in their communities.

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has once again sustained its Reporter status in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings following a comprehensive evaluation of its institutional performance. This ranking framework assessed the university across fundamental areas, including teaching environment, research environment, research quality, industry engagement, and international outlook. Marking its fourth consecutive year of inclusion in THE-WUR, CLSU remains committed to achieving a ranked position by strengthening its research output, expanding scholarly publications, and enhancing global academic collaborations.
