CBA Students Lead the Ledger at STOAS-CL 2026

Students from the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) demonstrated excellent performance during the Search for Ten Outstanding Accountancy Students of Central Luzon (STOAS-CL) 2026 held on April 10, 2026, at the HSD Multipurpose Hall, Clark Freeport Zone. The event recognized graduating BS Accountancy students who exemplified excellence in academics, leadership, service, and integrity. From over a hundred candidates across the region, only 25 were selected as finalists, wherein four CLSU students stand out, securing the following distinctions: Clarissa O. Andal Top 6 Outstanding Accountancy Students of Central Luzon Highest Scorer in the Written Comprehensive Examination Recipient of a P&A Grant Thornton Review Scholarship worth Php50,000 Eona R. Catacutan Top 10 Outstanding Accountancy Students of Central Luzon Recipient of a P&A Grant Thornton Review Scholarship worth Php50,000 Yrish Mae B. Lorenzo Top 25 Finalist Recipient of a P&A Grant Thornton Review Scholarship worth Php50,000 Recognized among the Top 50 Outstanding Accountancy Students in the Philippines at the 27th Search for Outstanding Accountancy Students in the Philippines (SOASP) Tristan Jay P. Nening Top 25 Finalist Recipient of a P&A Grant Thornton Review Scholarship worth Php50,000 Recipient of an Association of Certified Public Accountants in Commerce and Industry - Central Luzon Region (ACPACI-CLR) Scholarship worth Php15,000 The selection process involved a comprehensive written examination covering CPALE subjects and a panel interview to assess both knowledge and character. The event was organized by the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants - Central Luzon Region in partnership with Punongbayan & Araullo (P&A Grant Thornton). #SievingforExcellence

TESO Continues CAT Promotion Through Pencil Donation Drive

Passed from the hands of hopeful dreamers to the hands of young learners, the Testing and Evaluation Services Office (TESO) continues its promotion of the CLSU Admission Test (CAT) while extending support to the primary learners of the DepEd-CLSU Elementary Laboratory School through a Pencil Donation Drive themed “Ang Lapis Mo, Ang Susulat sa mga Pangarap Ko” on September 28, 2026. University President Dr. Evaristo A. Abella led the distribution of 1,300 pencils to 600 pupils, alongside Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Ravelina R. Velasco, Head of the Testing and Evaluation Center Dr. Elmer D. Dela Rosa, and School Principal Jocelyn De Guzman. The Pencil Donation Drive forms part of the CAT promotion campaign and was made possible through the contributions of examinees who took the previous CAT.

CLSU, Soroptimist International Launch ATE GOES AGRI Scholarship for Female Agriculture Students

Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through its Office of Student Affairs (OSA), officially inked a Memorandum of Agreement with Soroptimist International of Metro Manila Northwest District to establish the ATE GOES AGRI Scholarship Program: Advancing Growth, Resilience, and Inclusion through Education. The MOA signing was led by University President Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, Dr. OSA Dean Irene G. Bustos, and District Director Ms. Jennifer Joan Bayot. The event was witnessed by Ms. Josephine D. Cariño. The educational assistance program empowers financially disadvantaged young women pursuing agriculture degrees by building their technical and leadership skills to prepare them for careers in sustainable agriculture, food security, and community development. This partnership will benefit five qualified female students from the CLSU College of Agriculture who demonstrate financial need. Each scholar will receive a PHP20,000 stipend for the academic year. The CLSU-OSA will facilitate the program's implementation, tasked with screening applicants, verifying academic status, monitoring scholars, and managing progress reports. This new partnership underscores a shared commitment to breaking financial barriers for women in agriculture, equipping the next generation of female leaders to drive innovation in their communities.

CLSU Sustains Reporter Status in Times Higher Education World University Rankings

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has once again sustained its Reporter status in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings following a comprehensive evaluation of its institutional performance. This ranking framework assessed the university across fundamental areas, including teaching environment, research environment, research quality, industry engagement, and international outlook. Marking its fourth consecutive year of inclusion in THE-WUR, CLSU remains committed to achieving a ranked position by strengthening its research output, expanding scholarly publications, and enhancing global academic collaborations.
