CLSU GRADUATE TOPS ANEW AGRICULTURIST LICENSURE EXAMINATION; ANOTHER LANDS IN 6TH PLACE

The Central Luzon State University-College of Agriculture (CAg) graduate, repeated history for the fourth time by producing a graduate who placed No. 1 in the 2019 Agriculturist Licensure Examination administered last November. Mr. Paul John M. Pangilinan, Soil Science major, obtained a rating of 89.67%.             Mr. Pangilinan is the fourth ‘Top 1’ produced by the CAg. A native of Jaen, Nueva Ecija, he is currently a faculty of the College of Agriculture teaching courses in Soil Science. Mr. Pangilinan who hails from Jaen, Nueva Ecija graduated cum laude with a GPA of 1.73 in June 2018 as a Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (DA-ACEF) scholarship grantee. Marc Louie F. Barnachea, TOP 6 (2019 Agriculturist Licensure Examination)             Another CAg graduate landed in 6th place with a rating of 88.33%. He is Marc Louie F. Barnachea, Animal Science major, who hails from Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya. He shared the same spot with five other examinees, one from Benguet State University, three from University of the Philippines-Los Baños, and one graduate from Pangasinan State University-San Carlos City.             Pangilinan and Barnachea are among the 248 out of 354 examinees from CLSU who passed the recent ALE giving the university a passing rate of 70.06% which is higher than the passing rate of 66.90% (97 out of 145) last year.             Moreover, this year’s passing average is way above the national passing rate of 41.05% (5,538 out of 13,492).   Mr. Pangilinan and Mr. Barnachea (6th and 5th from right, respectively) were presented during the Flag Raising Ceremony last December 2 at the CLSU Multi-Purpose Gym. CLSU Students Kick Off AY 2025–2026 with SIKAD

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) and the University Supreme Student Council (USSC), officially welcomed another academic year through the annual event dubbed as "Sinag ng Kalinangan, Agapay at Dalubsahan (SIKAD),” marking the start of Academic Year (AY) 2025-2026. The SIKAD aims to immerse freshmen and transfer students in the university's culture and introduce them to CLSU’s student life. This year's event kicked off with the Students Parade, attended by more than 4,000 freshmen, accompanied by senior students wearing their respective college colors. The parade traversed from the Visionary Gate to the Main Gate and proceeded to the Auditorium for the opening program. During the opening program, Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, the University President, welcomed the freshmen students and encouraged them to pursue and focus on their studies and finish their chosen degrees. In his remarks, he emphasized that the students at CLSU are fortunate individuals who are meant to be in this institution. “Kaya sa ating mga first year students, tandaan po ninyo na kaya kayo nandito ay para mag-aral at matapos ang inyong degrees. Tandaan ninyo ang sakripisyo ng mga magulang ninyo kung bakit kayo pinadala dito sa pamantasang ito,” said President Abella. Moreover, a new set of elected USSC Officials took an oath of office recognizing their vital role in advancing the welfare of students. The first day of SIKAD was marked by the enthusiastic participation of students in various activities, such as the CLS-U Matter: Health and Wellness Fair at CLSU Infirmary and Happy Tummy para sa Sielesyuans, a feeding program during the opening ceremony. The BIZZ-Arangkada Bazaar also provided several students with the opportunity to display their entrepreneurial skills. Moreover, various college student-journalists attended LIBOT, an event held at the OVPAA Amphitheater to sharpen their journalism skills. The SIKAD 2025 event, with its blend of formal introductions, cultural presentations, and student engagement, successfully set the stage for a promising academic year at CLSU.

CLSU Acquires Addt’l Coaster and Van

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has acquired a new Coaster and Commuter Deluxe van, through the GAA fund, as part of its re-fleeting initiative for government motor vehicles. The Coaster, which can carry 29 passengers, was purchased for P4,114,000.00. This spacious vehicle will be an invaluable resource for larger group excursions, field trips, and transportation for participants attending various university events. Meanwhile, the Commuter Deluxe van is a 14-seater vehicle acquired at P1,857,000.00. To provide comfortable transportation for smaller groups, facilitate official university business, and address daily logistical requirements. These acquisitions reflect CLSU's commitment to delivering efficient and comfortable transportation solutions, essential for supporting its academic, research, and extension programs.

CLSU Receives Donation of 100 Input Devices to Enhance Technological Resources

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has upgraded its technological resources by donating 100 input devices, including keyboards and mouse. This collaborative effort was made possible through the partnership of Global Galaxy Distribution Inc. and STS Corp., a long-standing food concessionaire within the university. This contribution aims to modernize the existing equipment across various administrative offices and academic laboratories at the University. University President Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, formally accepted the donation from Mr. John Harlem Roqlie, Project Manager of Global Galaxy Distribution Inc. joined by his colleagues, Mr. Vincent V. Enrique, Mr. Raymund R. Reta, and Mr. Isnadil H. Isnani, as well as Ms. Marites Santos, owner of STS Corp. During the event, President Abella expressed profound gratitude for the donation, emphasizing that these new devices will enhance the productivity and overall experience for students and staff. The donated devices are Aula Philippines products, featuring a wired optical mouse with 7 responsive buttons, 4-speed adjustable DPI settings, and 26-key anti-ghosting capabilities, designed to facilitate smooth multi-key presses and improve user efficiency.
