P75M-CED BUILDING UP FOR CONSTRUCTION

A three-storey building for the College of Education (CEd) amounting to P75 million will soon rise on campus as the university held its groundbreaking ceremony last January 29. With funding from the university Capital Outlay, the state-of-the-art building will house eight classrooms, ICT room, training room, faculty room, amphitheater, music studios and common areas. The groundbreaking program was led by Dr. Teresa A. Abelia, CLSU president; and Dr. Regidor G. Gaboy, CEd dean, who were joined by CEd faculty members. "The designer of the building has considered minimal consumption of energy by applying the green building concept. It is also designed to blend structures in the university, and as stated in the Land Use Framework Plan", Dr Gaboy said. Dr. Gaboy also emphasized that the construction of the building is the realization of CEd's dream to accommodate the growing population of the college, as well as a fulfillment of the promise of the University Administration to provide our students the best learning environment. The building is expected to be completed not later than one year and six months after the groundbreaking rites. "The CEd faculty and students are more than happy and excited to see the completion of our building and we all vow to put it and its every facility to best use", Dr. Gaboy also said.

TESO Continues CAT Promotion Through Pencil Donation Drive

Passed from the hands of hopeful dreamers to the hands of young learners, the Testing and Evaluation Services Office (TESO) continues its promotion of the CLSU Admission Test (CAT) while extending support to the primary learners of the DepEd-CLSU Elementary Laboratory School through a Pencil Donation Drive themed “Ang Lapis Mo, Ang Susulat sa mga Pangarap Ko” on September 28, 2026. University President Dr. Evaristo A. Abella led the distribution of 1,300 pencils to 600 pupils, alongside Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Ravelina R. Velasco, Head of the Testing and Evaluation Center Dr. Elmer D. Dela Rosa, and School Principal Jocelyn De Guzman. The Pencil Donation Drive forms part of the CAT promotion campaign and was made possible through the contributions of examinees who took the previous CAT.

CLSU, Soroptimist International Launch ATE GOES AGRI Scholarship for Female Agriculture Students

Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through its Office of Student Affairs (OSA), officially inked a Memorandum of Agreement with Soroptimist International of Metro Manila Northwest District to establish the ATE GOES AGRI Scholarship Program: Advancing Growth, Resilience, and Inclusion through Education. The MOA signing was led by University President Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, Dr. OSA Dean Irene G. Bustos, and District Director Ms. Jennifer Joan Bayot. The event was witnessed by Ms. Josephine D. Cariño. The educational assistance program empowers financially disadvantaged young women pursuing agriculture degrees by building their technical and leadership skills to prepare them for careers in sustainable agriculture, food security, and community development. This partnership will benefit five qualified female students from the CLSU College of Agriculture who demonstrate financial need. Each scholar will receive a PHP20,000 stipend for the academic year. The CLSU-OSA will facilitate the program's implementation, tasked with screening applicants, verifying academic status, monitoring scholars, and managing progress reports. This new partnership underscores a shared commitment to breaking financial barriers for women in agriculture, equipping the next generation of female leaders to drive innovation in their communities.

CLSU Sustains Reporter Status in Times Higher Education World University Rankings

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has once again sustained its Reporter status in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings following a comprehensive evaluation of its institutional performance. This ranking framework assessed the university across fundamental areas, including teaching environment, research environment, research quality, industry engagement, and international outlook. Marking its fourth consecutive year of inclusion in THE-WUR, CLSU remains committed to achieving a ranked position by strengthening its research output, expanding scholarly publications, and enhancing global academic collaborations.
