Pres. Abella Addresses 2,565 Graduates during the 72nd Annual Commencement Exercises

“Whatever path you take or the profession that you will pursue in the future, I trust that the knowledge and skills you have gained here will serve you well. Not only the theory and the lessons from the book, but the values and the culture that you have learned inside CLSU will make you successful. These foundations will become your strong roots; nurture them and help them grow… As you take on the world, CLSU will always be here for you. Isang tahanan na pwede ninyong babalik-balikan.” Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, the 11th President of Central Luzon State University (CLSU) and Commencement Speaker, encouraged the graduates to face their future endeavors with determination during the 72nd Annual Commencement Exercises held on July 19, 2024 at the Dr. Pedro A. Abella Graduation Site. “Malaki ang tiwala naming lahat sa inyo na dadalhin ninyo at iaangat ang pangalan ng CLSU sa iba’t ibang larangan sa loob at labas ng bansa,” said Dr. Abella. Acknowledging the dedication and perseverance of the graduates and those who supported them, he conveyed his immense pride to all the graduates, acknowledging their journey that led them to this moment of academic success. “There are many different stories here today on how you got to this point, but one thing is the same for all of you, you are all graduates of CLSU and we are proud of each and every one of you.” Concluding his address, President Abella extended his congratulations to the proud parents and guardians, recognizing their invaluable contributions to the academic accomplishments of the graduates.

CLSU Receives Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity Award

Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through its Financial Management Services led by Dir. Jinky Parugrug, has been honored with the "Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity" Award for the second consecutive time. The recognition was conferred during the Government Financial Management Innovations Circle, Inc.'s (GFMIC) 16th Annual National Convention, held on September 25, 2025, in Tagbilaran, Bohol. This accolade underscores CLSU's exemplary utilization of the Electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS). The eNGAS is a critical software solution designed to modernize government accounting, ensuring all financial transactions are processed with accuracy, reliability, completeness, and timeliness. CLSU stands out among academic institutions, being one of only three universities nationwide, alongside Tarlac State University and Bukidnon State University, to receive this distinction. Other awardees were drawn from National Government Agencies and Local Government Units (LGUs). The award was formally accepted by Mr. John Mark Tangonan, head of the Accounting Office, together with staff from both the Accounting and Budget Office. This achievement serves as a significant affirmation of CLSU's strong commitment to digitalization and its dedication to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy in financial reporting.

RIDe Fest 2025: Groundwork to Greatness of Innovation Impact

The Research, Innovation, and Development Festival (RIDe Fest) is an annual event that highlights the university's discoveries, knowledge, and impact in the community. This year’s festival began with the official Opening Program and the ceremonial inauguration of the Innovation and Extension Exhibit, setting a celebratory tone. This was followed by the rigorous 37th Annual In-House Review of Completed and Ongoing R&D Projects and the Research Poster Showcase. To conclude the first day of the festival, a Knowledge-Sharing Session on "Communicating Science Effectively through Social Media” with Content Creator and UPLB Asst. Prof. Ethan Hernandez was held, and attended by over 200 students, faculty members, and science communicators from nearby agencies. Day two fused community spirit with academic pursuits. The early morning Community Parade was followed by events that highlighted the talents, humor, and research-oriented mindset of the CLSU community, including the competitive RIDe Fest Quest and an enthusiastic Cook-off. Furthermore, research and innovation were amplified through the Student Researchers' Day, the continuation of the In-House Review, and an insightful Plenary Session: International Spotlight, featuring crucial updates on the Banana and Cacao Disease Management Project. The excitement continues with the highly anticipated Innovation Pitch Off and the Sustainability Summit, alongside the final day of the exhibit.
