Two graduate programs of Central Luzon State University (CLSU) completed the five-day assessment of Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP) leaving the accreditors impressed with the relevance and strength of the programs which they expressed during the closing ceremony on July 07, 2023.
Dr. Angelina C. Paquibot, lead evaluator for Master of Science in Guidance Counseling commended the program for showing several strengths specifically in providing comprehensive education by harnessing the expertise of the faculty.
“Overall, the MS in Guidance and Counselling Program highlights its commitment in preparing competent and ethical guidance counselors. With continued attention to areas in need of improvement, the program has the potential to excel and provide high-quality education that prepares graduates to make a positive impact in the field of guidance counseling” said Dr. Paquibot.
Furthermore, Dr. Benedict O. Medina, lead accreditor for the PhD in Development Communication, acknowledged the team for their efforts and commitment in order to achieve quality education. Moreover, he also praised the CLSU administration for their support and acknowledging the importance of the program.
“The greatest asset of the program is your faculty members who are graduates of reputable universities here and abroad. All of them are aligned with what they are teaching and doing with regard to development communication projects and activities,” Dr. Medina added.
In response to the impressions, Dr. Edgar A. Orden, University President pledged the commitment of CLSU in considering and complying with the observations and recommendations of the esteemed accreditors.
“The university’s academic initiatives are towards internationalization and this will surely be helpful towards the sustainability of our goals. Rest assured that all of your suggestions and impressions will be addressed,” said Dr. Orden.
AACCUP will conduct further deliberation based on the observations and assessment of the accreditors prior to the release of the final result of the Level I accreditation.
