Overview

The Research and Extension (R&E) Program is one of the four major programs that makes CLSU unique, particularly in terms of R&D. Its primary role is to generate and validate new knowledge, information, and technologies, and disseminate and commercialize the same to sustain agro-industrialization in the countryside.

It also plays a major role in helping attain the University’s noble goal of improving the educational, cultural, political, and environmental consciousness of the people it serves. As such, it must respond quickly and appropriately to their needs and make information and technologies, program, and services within reach of its intended beneficiaries.

Goal

To actively support sustainable agro-industrialization and balance socio-economic growth through technology and information generation and commercialization, integrated capability building, communication advocacy on market-driven innovations and partnership with key sectors of development.

Vision

R&E as a premier arm of CLSU for empowering people and communities in Southeast Asia to improve their quality of life via credible and sustainable agricultural and development projects.

Mission

The R&E shall provide technical products and services in agriculture and allied fields using appropriate approaches for sustainable agro-industrial development to improve the quality of life of the people it serves.
