The event commenced with insightful opening remarks delivered by Dr. Ariel G. Mactal, the Vice President for Administration who underscored the vital importance of every student's vote, emphasizing how their collective voices could shape the future of the nation. Furthermore, Atty. Rommel H. Rama, the Provincial Election Supervisor of Nueva Ecija, and Atty. Alvin A. Gutierrez, the Election Officer of Science City of Muñoz also highlighted the importance of voters’ education in their speech. A thorough demonstration of the new Automated Counting Machine (ACM) served as the highlight of the event where Ms. Sarah Asis, COMELEC Information Officer, showcased the features of the machine designed to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and transparency of vote counting. The use of the ACM signifies a major stride towards a more reliable and secure voting system, a crucial development as the country prepares for upcoming elections. In addition to the hands-on experience of both students and university officials on how to use the ACM, attendees were also provided with services such as Local and Register Anywhere Program (RAP) of the COMELEC which catered to students who reside in other provinces.
