CLSU GRADUATE TOPS ANEW AGRICULTURIST LICENSURE EXAMINATION; ANOTHER LANDS IN 6TH PLACE

The Central Luzon State University-College of Agriculture (CAg) graduate, repeated history for the fourth time by producing a graduate who placed No. 1 in the 2019 Agriculturist Licensure Examination administered last November. Mr. Paul John M. Pangilinan, Soil Science major, obtained a rating of 89.67%.             Mr. Pangilinan is the fourth ‘Top 1’ produced by the CAg. A native of Jaen, Nueva Ecija, he is currently a faculty of the College of Agriculture teaching courses in Soil Science. Mr. Pangilinan who hails from Jaen, Nueva Ecija graduated cum laude with a GPA of 1.73 in June 2018 as a Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (DA-ACEF) scholarship grantee. Marc Louie F. Barnachea, TOP 6 (2019 Agriculturist Licensure Examination)             Another CAg graduate landed in 6th place with a rating of 88.33%. He is Marc Louie F. Barnachea, Animal Science major, who hails from Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya. He shared the same spot with five other examinees, one from Benguet State University, three from University of the Philippines-Los Baños, and one graduate from Pangasinan State University-San Carlos City.             Pangilinan and Barnachea are among the 248 out of 354 examinees from CLSU who passed the recent ALE giving the university a passing rate of 70.06% which is higher than the passing rate of 66.90% (97 out of 145) last year.             Moreover, this year’s passing average is way above the national passing rate of 41.05% (5,538 out of 13,492).   Mr. Pangilinan and Mr. Barnachea (6th and 5th from right, respectively) were presented during the Flag Raising Ceremony last December 2 at the CLSU Multi-Purpose Gym. CLSU Holds Blessing for Farmers’ Training Hostel

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) officially inaugurated the Farmers’ Training Hostel during a blessing ceremony held on November 20, 2024. The blessing was led by Fr. Rufo Ramil Cruz, CLSU Chaplain, joined by Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, University President, Dr. Ariel G. Mactal, Vice President for Administration, Dr. RavelinaR. Velasco, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Karenina B. Romualdo, Vice President for University Business Affairs, Dr. Ma. Elizabeth C. Leoveras, Head of Auxiliary Services alongside other esteemed members of the Administrative Council. The newly renovated Farmers’ Training Hostel is a two-story building with 24 rooms, designed to accommodate visitors and guests, particularly those attending stay-in training programs. The hostel is located behind the CEC Hostel and adjacent to the R&E Cafeteria.

CLSU Maintains Strong Global Standing, Ranks 69th in 2025 AppliedHE

In the latest edition of the AppliedHE Public and Private University rankings, Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has reaffirmed its strong global standing by securing the 69th position in ASEAN Region and the 4th rank among public universities in the Philippines. The recent typhoon brought challenges to Central Luzon State University, leaving visible signs of its impact across the campus.
