CLSU launches eFARM Academy Website

The eFARM (Food and Agriculture Resources Management) Academy Program, initiated by Central Luzon State University (CLSU) and funded by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), has officially launched its eFARM Academy Website on January 25, 2022. The virtual launching was joined by a total of 375 participants locally and internationally. Dr. Gella Patria Abella, program leader preceded the event together with Asst. Prof. Maria Adrielle S. Estigoy and Prof. Celyrah Castillo, Projects 1 (eGROW) and 2 (eKITCHEN) Leaders, respectively, and the whole eFARM team. Moreover, it was also graced by Atty. Lily Freida C. Macabangun-Milla, CESO IV Director III of CHED-IAS and her staff, Mr. Franz Louie Franco.  The resource persons of the eFARM Academy program were also present namely, Dr. Antonio J. Barroga, Dr. Franz Nogoy, Dr. Rich Milton M. Dulay, Mr. Neal Del Rosario, Dr. Jonathan Galindez, Engr. Christopher Pascual, Mr. Nestor Pagaduan and Dr. Emmanuel M. Vera-Cruz. “Everyone is welcome to engage here at CLSU. Be a partner of development”, said Dr. Renato Reyes, Vice President of Academic Affairs and International Affairs Office Director, in his welcome message. He also shared that the eFARM Academy Website is part of the Learning Management System of the eFARM Academy Program which aims to offer and transfer technologies developed by CLSU as a premiere international agri-fishery techno-education tourism hub. CLSU developed and generated technologies will be featured or covered on the e-learning platform. For the first phase of the program, Asst. Prof. Estigoy mentioned that the technologies to be included are aromatic and hybrid rice production, organic onion production, indoor vertical farming system, aquashade system, mushroom production, goat production, and zero-waste pig (ZWaP) farming system. She also said that this initiative will bring challenges but it will also bring huge opportunities. “We will make agricultural education more accessible, so that everyone, or at least to those who are showing interest in agrifisheries, will already be on board the digital express,” she added. On the other hand, Prof. Castillo also shared that eKITCHEN aims to translate the research outputs of CLSU into a variety of food processing technologies and culinary applications that would be accessible through the eFARM Website and social media accounts. She also pointed out that the project aims to encourage the viewers to explore entrepreneurial opportunities in food processing and food preparations. In conclusion, Dr. Abella said in her message “This is our way of bringing people closer to productivity in support to the university’s thrust to serve humanity by educating the world on food security first and foremost.” She hoped to sustain the program as they continue to do their best to serve the stakeholders. Meanwhile, students can now enroll in the course on Zero-Waste Pig Farming System, initially. All other courses will be available in the next few months. CVSM Clinches Top Spot at 32nd PARAmihan ng Alam

Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through the College of Veterinary Science and Medicine (CVSM), has once again proven its excellence in veterinary sciences, clinching the Championship title at the 32nd National PARAmihan ng Alam, organized by the UP Alpha Chiron Society (UPACS), held on March 7, 2026, at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). Outshining 21 teams from 11 State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) across the country, the CLSU delegation secured the top spot, earning the P20,000 grand prize and a specialized kit of professional resources that solidifies its reputation as a powerhouse in veterinary parasitology. The championship-winning trio was composed of Ms. Dannah Jedidah G. Lucas, Ms. Krista M. Mendoza, and Mr. Mark Joedel U. Mendez. Other teams, featuring Allen Dave B. Serrano, Dan Carlo H. Crisostomo, and Lance Josef E. Landagan, also delivered a formidable performance. The expert mentorship of Dr. Katrina E. delos Reyes and Dr. Marvin Bryan S. Salinas guided both teams. CLSU placed ahead of other SUCs, with UPLB in second and De La Salle Araneta University in third, reinforcing CLSU’s status as a leader in veterinary education in the Philippines.

CLSU Delegates Bag Awards at CAASUC III 2026 Arts Month Celebration

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) delegates composed of students and coaches bagged awards in the CAASUC III 2026 National Arts Month Celebration held on March 5, 2026, at the Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU). DAP Introduces BAGANI Program to CLSU Young Leaders

To inspire a passion for transformative leadership and promote the principles of good governance among the students and young faculty of Central Luzon State University (CLSU), the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) launched the “BAGANI: Rising Leaders Development Program” today, March 6, at the RIE Amphitheater. The program aims to equip emerging leaders with the skills, vision, and mindset needed to drive positive change in their communities and beyond. During the event, DAP Project Officer Ellinoar Santos, emphasized the crucial role of the youth in shaping the nation's future. "We developed this program para sa mga young leaders. Kasi, you are the agents of today, you will change the system, and you are the leaders of tomorrow,” she shared. Mark Sambajon, BAGANI program communication specialist, echoed this sentiment, "We acknowledge that young people now are rising in their own communities, making these changes themselves. So, the academy wants to complement that and turn that energy into something transformative in the public sector." The DAP delegation was led by Mr. June Arvin Gudoy, Vice President for Corporate Affairs, who facilitated an engaging Q&A session on students’ roles in public service. Wrapping up the successful event, Dr. Irene G. Bustos, Office of the Student Affairs Dean, delivered the closing remarks, leaving the attendees with a powerful and timeless reminder from Mahatma Gandhi: “If you want to see the change in the world, be the change.” Before the information session, the DAP delegates paid a courtesy call to University President Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, where they formally presented the program.
