Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has been honored with a Special Award by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED Regional Office III) during the Stakeholders’ Appreciation Day on May 31, 2024, at The Orchid Gardens in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
This event marked the 30th Founding Anniversary of CHED and the 4th Higher Education Day, celebrated under the theme “Transformative and Resilient Higher Education.” The recognition highlights the University’s significant contributions to internationalization initiatives and its unwavering commitment to fostering academic innovation and cross-border collaboration.
These efforts have elevated the institution’s global reputation, particularly in the esteemed Asian University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) Awards, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings, Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, and the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI).
Representing CLSU at the ceremony were Dr. Ravelina R. Velasco, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Ariel G. Mactal, Vice President for Administration.
Additionally, Dr. Rhodora I. Dela Rosa, Head of the University Graduate Program Office (UGPO), received a Plaque of Appreciation (Individual Award) for her role as the Scholarships for Staff and Instructors’ Knowledge Advancement Program (SIKAP) Grant Administrator at CLSU.
Dr. Lora L. Yusi, Director IV of CHED Regional Office III, served as the keynote speaker where she acknowledged the presence of all State Universities and Colleges (SUC) Presidents in Region III, celebrated their collective achievements, and described their journey as “becoming a pearl.”
