CLSU REPRESENTATIVE FAILYN KAYE M. SEDIK WON THE THIRD PLACE IN THE NATIONAL DIGITAL CHALLENGE

Last May 30, 2017 the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) held the National Digital Challenge at the DICT Building, Diliman, Quezon City. The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) Representatives were Failyn Kaye M. Sedik and Clarisse Ann B. Casuar from the Department of Information Technology in the College of Engineering. Among the thirty-three (33) students, Sedik won the 3rd place, but before that she and Reanne Kate C. Aranza from Laguna State Polytechnic University had a tie-breaker on the Basic Presentation Module. Aranza outscored Sedik with the score of 97 to 94. Leading Aranza to be one of the country’s representatives to compete in Singapore against twenty (20) other students from Asia. The said challenge tested the students on selected ICDL modules namely Basic Word Processing (diagnostic test), Basic Spreadsheet, Online Essentials, Computer Essentials, and Basic Presentation. It was composed of two rounds, the elimination and the finals. The partner Local- and State- Universities and Colleges (LUCs and SUCs) from all over the Philippines were invited to join the National ICT Competency (NCM). There were a total 17 schools which participated and sent two (2) student representatives. The Central Luzon State University Representatives were Failyn Kaye M. Sedik and Clarisse Ann B. Casuar from the Department of Information Technology - College of Engineering.

CLSU Holds Blessing for Farmers’ Training Hostel

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) officially inaugurated the Farmers’ Training Hostel during a blessing ceremony held on November 20, 2024. The blessing was led by Fr. Rufo Ramil Cruz, CLSU Chaplain, joined by Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, University President, Dr. Ariel G. Mactal, Vice President for Administration, Dr. RavelinaR. Velasco, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Karenina B. Romualdo, Vice President for University Business Affairs, Dr. Ma. Elizabeth C. Leoveras, Head of Auxiliary Services alongside other esteemed members of the Administrative Council. The newly renovated Farmers’ Training Hostel is a two-story building with 24 rooms, designed to accommodate visitors and guests, particularly those attending stay-in training programs. The hostel is located behind the CEC Hostel and adjacent to the R&E Cafeteria.

CLSU Maintains Strong Global Standing, Ranks 69th in 2025 AppliedHE

In the latest edition of the AppliedHE Public and Private University rankings, Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has reaffirmed its strong global standing by securing the 69th position in ASEAN Region and the 4th rank among public universities in the Philippines. CLSU has been recognized for its high ratings in key areas, including Employability, Quality of Teaching and Learning, Cutting-Edge Research, Community Engagement, Internationalization, and Institutional Reputation. This accomplishment underscores CLSU's unwavering commitment to academic excellence and community development. AFTERMATH AT CLSU | Restore and Rebuild

The recent typhoon brought challenges to Central Luzon State University, leaving visible signs of its impact across the campus.
