CLSU Submits 4 Programs to AACCUP Evaluation

Committed to achieve academic excellence, the Central Luzon State University (CLSU) submits its four programs to the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities (AACCUP) evaluation from September 6-9, 2023. The Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences will be evaluated for Level IV Phase I, the Master in Veterinary Studies and the Master in Biological Science (Biology Education) for Level III Phase II, and the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology for Level III Phase I. During the opening program, Dr. Ravelina R. Velasco, Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs highlighted the importance of education and the continuous upgrading of the university’s academic programs to adjust to the trends of time. “AACCUP processes stand as a guardian of quality, inclusivity, and relevance in our educational endeavor ensuring that they actively contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals…. CLSU will continue to work toward its stated mission of enhancing its academic offering and providing superior support to its most important constituency - its students” Dr. Ravelina added. Meanwhile, Dr. Enrico R. Rivano, AACCUP Coordinator explained the evaluation instrument or the criteria, and the areas to be visited. Moreover, he also introduced the esteemed accreditors composed of professors from different universities. To note, the Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences is a double major in Political Science and History with 384 enrolled students. The Master of Veterinary Studies (MVS) is a two (2) year program with two (2) areas of specialization with 16 enrolled MVSt students. Also, the Master of Science in Biology Education currently has 38 students, while the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology has 760 enrolled students.

CLSU Retains Top-Performing Status in Fisheries Licensure Examination; Produces 7th-Place Topnotcher

​Central Luzon State University (CLSU) solidified its legacy in fisheries education after being recognized as a Top-Performing School in the October 2026 Fisheries Professionals Licensure Examination, which marks its third consecutive year earning the distinction. ​Demonstrating mastery in the field, the 28 successful takers from the College of Fisheries achieved an impressive institutional passing rate of 87.50%. ​Leading the passers is Mr. John Lexter Torres, who secured the seventh rank nationwide with an outstanding rating of 88.00%. ​CLSU’s robust performance was anchored by first-time examinees, who registered an 85.71% passing rate, while re-examinees delivered a remarkable 90.91% passing rate. ​Congratulations to the new Licensed Fisheries Professionals! CHEDRO III Commends CLSU Teacher Education Programs During On-Site Validation

The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office III (CHEDRO III) conducted an on-site evaluation of Central Luzon State University's (CLSU) undergraduate and graduate Teacher Education programs on October 7, 2026. The evaluation team praised CLSU for its well-organized documentation, advanced facilities, highly qualified faculty, and student housing services, while also providing recommendations for continuous improvement. Representing University President Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, Vice President for Business Affairs Dr. Karenina B. Romualdo delivered the Pledge of Commitment. “We are committed to producing competent, compassionate, and socially responsible educators. Quality assurance remains a continuous culture that shapes our service to students and society," Dr. Romualdo stated. “ The comprehensive review covered undergraduate programs, including Elementary, Secondary, Physical, Technology and Livelihood, Early Childhood, and Culture and Arts Education, along with advanced graduate degree programs in Development Education and Science Education.

CLSU Produces 94 New Licensed Civil Engineers, Surpasses National Passing Rate

Central Luzon State University, through the College of Engineering (CEN), continues its streak of excellence as 94 examinees successfully passed the September 2026 Civil Engineers Licensure Examination (CELE). Continuing its upward trend this year, CLSU recorded a 55.93% passing rate for first-time examinees and 33.37% for re-examiners. With these results, the University earned an overall institutional passing rate of 46.77%, well above the national average of 37.16%. We extend our warmest congratulations to our new Civil Engineers! May you use your knowledge and licenses to build resilient infrastructure that withstands every storm and drives progress for our nation. The entire CLSU community is immensely proud of every examinee who faced the challenge with courage, dedication, and resilience. Congratulations, CLSUans!
