CLSU Submits 4 Programs to AACCUP Evaluation

Committed to achieve academic excellence, the Central Luzon State University (CLSU) submits its four programs to the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities (AACCUP) evaluation from September 6-9, 2023. The Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences will be evaluated for Level IV Phase I, the Master in Veterinary Studies and the Master in Biological Science (Biology Education) for Level III Phase II, and the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology for Level III Phase I. During the opening program, Dr. Ravelina R. Velasco, Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs highlighted the importance of education and the continuous upgrading of the university’s academic programs to adjust to the trends of time. “AACCUP processes stand as a guardian of quality, inclusivity, and relevance in our educational endeavor ensuring that they actively contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals…. CLSU will continue to work toward its stated mission of enhancing its academic offering and providing superior support to its most important constituency - its students” Dr. Ravelina added. Meanwhile, Dr. Enrico R. Rivano, AACCUP Coordinator explained the evaluation instrument or the criteria, and the areas to be visited. Moreover, he also introduced the esteemed accreditors composed of professors from different universities. To note, the Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences is a double major in Political Science and History with 384 enrolled students. The Master of Veterinary Studies (MVS) is a two (2) year program with two (2) areas of specialization with 16 enrolled MVSt students. Also, the Master of Science in Biology Education currently has 38 students, while the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology has 760 enrolled students.

CLSU Holds Blessing for Farmers’ Training Hostel

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) officially inaugurated the Farmers’ Training Hostel during a blessing ceremony held on November 20, 2024. The blessing was led by Fr. Rufo Ramil Cruz, CLSU Chaplain, joined by Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, University President, Dr. Ariel G. Mactal, Vice President for Administration, Dr. RavelinaR. Velasco, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Karenina B. Romualdo, Vice President for University Business Affairs, Dr. Ma. Elizabeth C. Leoveras, Head of Auxiliary Services alongside other esteemed members of the Administrative Council. The newly renovated Farmers’ Training Hostel is a two-story building with 24 rooms, designed to accommodate visitors and guests, particularly those attending stay-in training programs. The hostel is located behind the CEC Hostel and adjacent to the R&E Cafeteria.

CLSU Maintains Strong Global Standing, Ranks 69th in 2025 AppliedHE

In the latest edition of the AppliedHE Public and Private University rankings, Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has reaffirmed its strong global standing by securing the 69th position in ASEAN Region and the 4th rank among public universities in the Philippines. CLSU has been recognized for its high ratings in key areas, including Employability, Quality of Teaching and Learning, Cutting-Edge Research, Community Engagement, Internationalization, and Institutional Reputation. This accomplishment underscores CLSU's unwavering commitment to academic excellence and community development. AFTERMATH AT CLSU | Restore and Rebuild

The recent typhoon brought challenges to Central Luzon State University, leaving visible signs of its impact across the campus. These photos highlight the resilience of the CLSU community as we come together to restore and rebuild. The administration would like to express its sincere gratitude to the CLSU personnel and students who went above and beyond in assisting with the cleaning and clearing operations, as well as to those in the kitchen who prepared meals for our students.
