The Consortium of Open and Distance Education Providers in the Philippines (CODEPP) concluded a highly productive two-day seminar-workshop on September 19-20, 2023, hosted by the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) in Sapilang, Bacnotan, La Union. The seminar-workshop, attended by prestigious founding members of CODEPP, including University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU), Benguet State University (BSU), Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), Cavite State University (CvSU), Central Luzon State University (CLSU), Ifugao State University (IFSU), John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (JBLFMU), and the host member DMMMSU, was a testament to the commitment of these leading academic institutions to the advancement of open and distance education in the Philippines. The recent gathering focused on the strategic planning for CODEPP as an organization and developing a capability training of trainer’s program to support accreditation of distance education (DE) programs.   While this event marked a significant milestone in CODEPP's journey, all eyes are now on CLSU as it prepares to host the consortium's next seminar-workshop in early 2024. "We are honored and excited to host CODEPP's next seminar-workshop. At CLSU, we are committed to fostering collaboration among our peers and pushing the boundaries of what distance education can achieve. We look forward to showcasing our innovative approaches and contributing to the country's continued open and distance education growth," said Dr. Elaida R. Fiegalan, Acting Dean of CLSU Distance, Open, and Transnational University.   The upcoming seminar workshop will serve as a platform for member institutions to explore cutting-edge strategies, share best practices, and engage in collaborative projects that benefit learners across the Philippines.
