The Central Luzon State University Testing and Evaluation Center (CTEC), in collaboration with the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), successfully conducted the Learn and Live your Interests, Passion, Ambitions, and Dreams (LIPAD) CLSU Career Caravan 2024 at San Jose City National High School - Senior High School (SJCNHS - SHS) last September 16, 2024.
The caravan aimed to provide essential information about the university, its academic programs, career guidance, scholarship opportunities, and the upcoming CLSU College Admission Test (CLSU-CAT) to graduating senior high school students.
Ms. Estrellita B. Ortiz, School Principal II of SJCNHS - SHS, opened the program with a welcome address, followed by Dr. Elmer D. Dela Rosa, Head of CLSU CTEC, who gave an overview of the event. He also discussed the required documents, application process, and other key details to assist students in applying to CLSU.
Guidance counselors from the Office of Student Affairs participated in the caravan, offering valuable insights on career planning to help students align their educational choices with future career goals. Ms. Anna Marie T. Del Rosario, CTEC Testing Unit In-Charge, provided an overview of the university's undergraduate programs and the scholarships available to students.
The event concluded with career consultations conducted by OSA guidance counselors for students uncertain about their academic paths, while CTEC staff assisted students with the mobile CLSU-CAT online application, helping them process their applications on-site.
This program marked the launch of the annual career caravan. Meanwhile, on September 23, 2024, CTEC will begin school-to-school visits across Nueva Ecija and nearby provinces as part of their ongoing effort to reach more students and provide guidance on university admissions.
