Hundreds of students from the CLSU Laboratory for Teaching and Learning - Agricultural Science and Technology School (CLTL-ASTS) marched for their 7th Commencement Exercises, 10th Moving Up, and 28th Recognition & Promotional Ceremonies at the Auditorium today, June 20.
Guided with the theme “Generation of Unity: Partners for the New Philippines,” the event honors the efforts and achievements of 40 Junior High School Completers and 64 Senior High School Graduates.
Ms. Klyra Nicole I. Madrid was named class valedictorian, leading her batch with 14 high honors and 32 honors recipients. On the other hand, among the Junior High School Completers, Ms. Jenny R. Agaran, the highest average completer and the lone recipient of the highest honor award, led her class with 4 high honors and 22 honors awards.
During her meaningful valedictory address, Ms. Madrid, whose words resonated with the shared experiences and future aspirations of her graduating class, emphasized the power of collective support.
“This moment does not only belong to those who topped their classes, but to the laughter we shared, and the bond we built inside the walls of our classrooms. This recognition belongs to all of us,” Ms. Madrid stated.
On the other hand, Ms. Agaran acknowledged the collaborative efforts they have shared, and she encouraged her fellow completers to dream bravely, act bravely, and write a story only they can tell.
Mr. James D. Letche, Instructor from Bulacan Agricultural State College and alumnus of CLTL-ASTS, served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker who shared valuable insights into pursuing higher education and establishing their study habits and building their network and linkages which will help them to get through their future academic journey especially to those graduates who will starting their journey as a college student.
Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, University President, along with Dr. Ravelina R. Velasco, VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Florante Ibarra, College of Education Dean, Dr. Ma. Catalina D. Cadiz, CLTL Head, and Dr. Michael C. Delos Santos, ASTS Unit In-charge, and Mr. Letche, Guest of Honor and Speaker, led the awarding of certificates, distinctions, and diplomas to the members of the graduating class.
