Forty-five senior high students completed their secondary education while 45 junior high students were recognized during the 5th Commencement Exercises, 8th Moving Up & 26th Recognition & Promotional Ceremonies of the Agricultural Science and Technology School (ASTS) on June 22, 2023, held at the CLSU Auditorium. Leading the graduating class, Reymarc Abaya delivered his valedictory address and shared his journey being a ‘manananim’ as one of the highlights and unforgettable experience that he will cherish as an ASTS alumnus. He also honored his parents for their support and sacrifices enabling  him to have a quality education. “I came to realize that my family is my weakness and my strength, they are the reason why I keep on moving forward. So, this award that I received is for my Tatay. The medals and awards I received cannot pay for all your sacrifices just to give me a better life. Thank you so much Tatay!”, said Abaya. Meanwhile, Ayessa DR. Paray received the highest academic award among the junior high completers. A total of 240 academic awardees received their medals and certificates handed by Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Ravelina R. Velasco, College of Education Dean Dr. Regidor G. Gaboy, ASTS Principal, Dr. Jannete P. Merculio and College of Agriculture Dean, Dr. Alona T. Badua who also served as their guest speaker. A community singing of their graduation songs ended the ceremony while students and their teachers bid an emotional farewell to the graduating class as they embark the next chapter of their lives.
