Baccalaureate Speaker Encourages Midyear Grads to Embrace Goodness to Achieve Greatness

Rev. Fr. Vic Kevin O. Ferrer, Vice Chancellor and Vocation Director of the Diocese of San Jose City, Nueva Ecija, delivered an inspiring message during the Ecumenical and Baccalaureate Service, encouraging the Midyear Graduands as they embark on their career journey. His words served as a guiding light, instilling motivation, faith, and perseverance in their pursuit of success. Drawing from the parable of the two caterpillars in "Hope for Flowers," Fr. Ferrer highlighted the transformative journey of life, emphasizing on the concept of metamorphosis as a metaphor for personal and professional growth. He challenged the graduates to strive for greatness by cultivating goodness within themselves. “To be great you have to realize that we, too, are fold to a transfiguration—a metamorphosis that required a going up and going down and going up again. This transformation for greatness is not a movement from nothing to something, it is rather a movement of goodness to greatness,” shared Rev. Fr. Ferrer. He further emphasized that while goodness and greatness are often intertwined, they carry distinct meanings. He highlighted that the most meaningful lives embody both, as true greatness is always built upon a foundation of goodness. “You cannot be great without first being good,” he concluded. CLSU Celebrates Monthlong CSC Anniversary

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) proudly joined in the nationwide celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service Commission (CSC), showcasing its commitment to excellence in public service. Throughout September, the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) organized a series of activities for employees designed to foster camaraderie, strengthen professional skills, and promote holistic well-being among its staff. These events include a diverse lineup, featuring Fun Run, Wellness Day, and Sportsfest, which promote health and community spirit, while Customer Relations Management Training sharpens professional skills. The University also facilitated Philsys National ID Registration and a vital Bloodletting Activity, underscoring its dedication to both its staff and the wider community.

CLSU Receives Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity Award

Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through its Financial Management Services led by Dir. Jinky Parugrug, has been honored with the "Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity" Award for the second consecutive time. The recognition was conferred during the Government Financial Management Innovations Circle, Inc.'s (GFMIC) 16th Annual National Convention, held on September 25, 2025, in Tagbilaran, Bohol. This accolade underscores CLSU's exemplary utilization of the Electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS). The eNGAS is a critical software solution designed to modernize government accounting, ensuring all financial transactions are processed with accuracy, reliability, completeness, and timeliness. CLSU stands out among academic institutions, being one of only three universities nationwide, alongside Tarlac State University and Bukidnon State University, to receive this distinction. Other awardees were drawn from National Government Agencies and Local Government Units (LGUs). The award was formally accepted by Mr. John Mark Tangonan, head of the Accounting Office, together with staff from both the Accounting and Budget Office. This achievement serves as a significant affirmation of CLSU's strong commitment to digitalization and its dedication to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy in financial reporting.
