CED IS FOUNDING MEMBER OF PHILIPPINE TEACHER EDUCATION NETWORK

The College of Education became a founding member of the Philippine Teacher Education Network (PhilTen) together with other College of Education who belong to CHED’s list of center of excellence in Teacher Education around the country at Hotel Jen, Manila,  Sept. 23. PhilTen is an association of leading teacher education institutions in the country aimed to establish partnerships in instruction, research, and extension. Dr. Regidor G. Gaboy, CEd dean, represented Dr. Tereso A. Abella, CLSU president, in the said event. “The College of Education is honored to become a founding member of this esteemed organization for teacher education institutions,” said Dr. Gaboy. It serves as the national chapter of the international organization ASEAN Teacher Education Network (AsTen), which was created in 2014 with the Philippine Normal University as the founding chair. CLSU College of Education is one of the three CHED-designated Centers of Excellence in Teacher Education from among the hundred public and private TEIs in Region III.

CLSU Bithay Sining Dance Company Bags Gold at the 2025 World Mask Dance Competition in South Korea

The CLSU Bithay Sining Dance Company, one of the cultural groups in the university achieved a remarkable feat on the global stage by winning the Gold Prize under the group category (International Division) during the 2025 Andong Mask Dance Festival and World Mask Play Competition, held from September 25 to October 6, 2025, in Andong, South Korea. CLSU Celebrates Monthlong CSC Anniversary

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) proudly joined in the nationwide celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service Commission (CSC), showcasing its commitment to excellence in public service. Throughout September, the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) organized a series of activities for employees designed to foster camaraderie, strengthen professional skills, and promote holistic well-being among its staff. These events include a diverse lineup, featuring Fun Run, Wellness Day, and Sportsfest, which promote health and community spirit, while Customer Relations Management Training sharpens professional skills. The University also facilitated Philsys National ID Registration and a vital Bloodletting Activity, underscoring its dedication to both its staff and the wider community.

CLSU Receives Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity Award

Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through its Financial Management Services led by Dir. Jinky Parugrug, has been honored with the "Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity" Award for the second consecutive time. The recognition was conferred during the Government Financial Management Innovations Circle, Inc.'s (GFMIC) 16th Annual National Convention, held on September 25, 2025, in Tagbilaran, Bohol. This accolade underscores CLSU's exemplary utilization of the Electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS). The eNGAS is a critical software solution designed to modernize government accounting, ensuring all financial transactions are processed with accuracy, reliability, completeness, and timeliness. CLSU stands out among academic institutions, being one of only three universities nationwide, alongside Tarlac State University and Bukidnon State University, to receive this distinction. Other awardees were drawn from National Government Agencies and Local Government Units (LGUs). The award was formally accepted by Mr. John Mark Tangonan, head of the Accounting Office, together with staff from both the Accounting and Budget Office. This achievement serves as a significant affirmation of CLSU's strong commitment to digitalization and its dedication to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy in financial reporting.
