The annual graduation ceremony of the National Service Training Program-Civic Welfare Training Service (NSTP-CWTS) was held on June 10, 2023, at the CLSU Auditorium. The event celebrated the culmination of a year's worth of community work by students who dedicated themselves to the program.
Assoc. The notable attendees were Prof. Dr. Ravelina R. Velasco, the acting Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Mr. Rodrigo "Jiggy" Manicad, a renowned journalist who served as the event's guest of honor and speaker.
In her message, the acting VPAA Dr. Velasco, reminded the graduates of their shared purpose. She said, "I want you to realize that we have a common thing: to serve our community and our country." The students’ faces lit up with pride and excitement as they took in the moving message of service and community.
Further motivating the graduates to strive for success, GMA-7 AgriPreneur host Mr. Manicad emphasized the connection between hunger and excellence. "Love God, and all that you wish and aspire for will follow," was the message conveyed to approximately 2,000 students.
Following the speeches, certificates, and awards were distributed to recognize the outstanding achievements of the graduates throughout their NSTP-CWTS journey.
The NSTP-CWTS annual graduation served as a testament to the power of community service. The graduates departed the program equipped with a treasure trove of knowledge and experience that will undoubtedly lead them toward their future achievements.
