CENTRAL LUZON STATE UNIVERSITY BSIT STUDENTS MAJOR IN NETWORK ADMINISTRATION ATTENDED THE FIBER OPTIC TRAINING SEMINAR AND HANDS-ON TRAINING

On September 16, 23, and 30 2017 the First Integrated Cable TV Corporation held a seminar about fiber optics cabling. A total of sixty-two (62) BSIT students attended the said seminar.             The seminar was divided into three (3) sessions with at least twenty (20) participants each. The said seminar was put into sessions to let all the participants try the hands-on training. It was scheduled on September 16, 23, and 30 2017 which was all Saturdays. All sessions started at 8:00am-12:00pm. It was held on Zone 4, Brgy. Sto. Tomas, San Jose City Nueva Ecija.             The seminar covered the basic fiber optics. The topics discussed includes the History of the Fiber optics, Types of the fiber optic cable and usage and the computation for attenuation, anatomy of fiber optic cable, fiber optic standards, fiber optic safety, equipment and tools, splicing demo, and ftth demo / fast connector assembly. The tools for the hands-on training of the participants were included in the seminar fee. They also provided some hand-outs for the participants. The resource Speaker of the seminar was the Technical Manager of the First Integrated Cable TV Corporation, Mr. Adrian D. Adriano. He was also one of the facilitator on the hands-on training, the other facilitators were also from their corporation.

CLSU Celebrates Monthlong CSC Anniversary

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) proudly joined in the nationwide celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service Commission (CSC), showcasing its commitment to excellence in public service. CLSU Receives Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity Award

Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through its Financial Management Services led by Dir. Jinky Parugrug, has been honored with the "Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity" Award for the second consecutive time. The recognition was conferred during the Government Financial Management Innovations Circle, Inc.'s (GFMIC) 16th Annual National Convention, held on September 25, 2025, in Tagbilaran, Bohol. This accolade underscores CLSU's exemplary utilization of the Electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS). The eNGAS is a critical software solution designed to modernize government accounting, ensuring all financial transactions are processed with accuracy, reliability, completeness, and timeliness. CLSU stands out among academic institutions, being one of only three universities nationwide, alongside Tarlac State University and Bukidnon State University, to receive this distinction. Other awardees were drawn from National Government Agencies and Local Government Units (LGUs). The award was formally accepted by Mr. John Mark Tangonan, head of the Accounting Office, together with staff from both the Accounting and Budget Office. This achievement serves as a significant affirmation of CLSU's strong commitment to digitalization and its dedication to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy in financial reporting.
