CLSU AMONG PH UNIVERSITIES INCLUDED IN THE 2022 QS ASIA UNIVERSITY RANKINGS

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) once again joins the list of 15 universities in the Philippines that landed a spot in Asia’s best higher education institutions (HEIs). CLSU ranked 601-650 at the 2022 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Asia University Rankings where it features 687 institutions. The universities were assessed using 11 indicators: Academic reputation, Employer reputation, Faculty/student ratio, International research network, Citations per paper and papers per faculty, staff with a Ph.D., Proportion of international faculty and proportion of international students, Proportion of inbound exchange students, and proportion of outbound exchange students. CLSU started its quest to the QS World University Rankings in 2013, and now reaping its hard work on providing excellent service and quality education. It also has maintained its three stars on QS rating since the beginning of 2021. According to President Edgar A. Orden, this triumph is a testament to the university’s unwavering commitment to nurturing a culture of excellence. CLSU shares this recognition with all its faculty, staff, students, and alumni who took part in making this journey a success. The QS Asia University Rankings is a world-leading provider of services, analytics, and insight to the global higher education sector which published annually since 2009.

CLSU Bithay Sining Dance Company Bags Gold at the 2025 World Mask Dance Competition in South Korea

The CLSU Bithay Sining Dance Company, one of the cultural groups in the university achieved a remarkable feat on the global stage by winning the Gold Prize under the group category (International Division) during the 2025 Andong Mask Dance Festival and World Mask Play Competition, held from September 25 to October 6, 2025, in Andong, South Korea. Under the artistic direction of Associate Professor Adonis Voltaire M. Villanueva, CLSU Bithay Sining Dance Company impressed both the audience and judges with its award-winning performance. It highlighted the artistry, discipline, and cultural depth of Filipino dance by combining tradition and innovation. The choreography showcased Philippine heritage through dynamic movements, vibrant costumes, and storytelling. CLSU Celebrates Monthlong CSC Anniversary

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) proudly joined in the nationwide celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service Commission (CSC), showcasing its commitment to excellence in public service. Throughout September, the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) organized a series of activities for employees designed to foster camaraderie, strengthen professional skills, and promote holistic well-being among its staff. These events include a diverse lineup, featuring Fun Run, Wellness Day, and Sportsfest, which promote health and community spirit, while Customer Relations Management Training sharpens professional skills. The University also facilitated Philsys National ID Registration and a vital Bloodletting Activity, underscoring its dedication to both its staff and the wider community.

CLSU Receives Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity Award

Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through its Financial Management Services led by Dir. Jinky Parugrug, has been honored with the "Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity" Award for the second consecutive time. The recognition was conferred during the Government Financial Management Innovations Circle, Inc.'s (GFMIC) 16th Annual National Convention, held on September 25, 2025, in Tagbilaran, Bohol. This accolade underscores CLSU's exemplary utilization of the Electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS). The eNGAS is a critical software solution designed to modernize government accounting, ensuring all financial transactions are processed with accuracy, reliability, completeness, and timeliness. CLSU stands out among academic institutions, being one of only three universities nationwide, alongside Tarlac State University and Bukidnon State University, to receive this distinction. Other awardees were drawn from National Government Agencies and Local Government Units (LGUs). The award was formally accepted by Mr. John Mark Tangonan, head of the Accounting Office, together with staff from both the Accounting and Budget Office. This achievement serves as a significant affirmation of CLSU's strong commitment to digitalization and its dedication to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy in financial reporting.
