CLSU Among Top PH Universities in UN SDGs Global Ranking

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) solidifies its international reputation as it claimed the 4th spot among the leading universities in the Philippines where it garnered an overall sustainability score of 57.9; placing the university in the 801-1000 bracket of the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2023.   CLSU tied with Mapua University Philippines, Philippine Normal University, and Saint Louis University among the 29 Higher Education Institutions that participated in this year’s ranking. The University was assessed based on the impact it made on the 5 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) it participated namely, (7) Affordable and Clean Energy, (13) Climate Action, (14) Life Below Water, (15) Life on Land, and (17) Partnerships for the Goals. CLSU maintained its top performance in addressing climate change through environmental education as it placed 1st in the country and 201-300 globally in SDG 13. Meanwhile, CLSU also fared well in achieving sustainable energy as it positioned itself 2nd in the Philippines and 301-400 globally in SDG 7. Also, it clinched the 4th spot nationally and 201-300 internationally in SDG 14. The 2023 THE Impact Rankings is the fifth edition, wherein the overall ranking includes 1,591 universities from 112 countries/regions. The THE measures the performance of each university on the attainment of the 17 UN SDGs.

CLSU Celebrates Monthlong CSC Anniversary

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) proudly joined in the nationwide celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service Commission (CSC), showcasing its commitment to excellence in public service. Throughout September, the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) organized a series of activities for employees designed to foster camaraderie, strengthen professional skills, and promote holistic well-being among its staff. These events include a diverse lineup, featuring Fun Run, Wellness Day, and Sportsfest, which promote health and community spirit, while Customer Relations Management Training sharpens professional skills. The University also facilitated Philsys National ID Registration and a vital Bloodletting Activity, underscoring its dedication to both its staff and the wider community.

CLSU Receives Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity Award

Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through its Financial Management Services led by Dir. Jinky Parugrug, has been honored with the "Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity" Award for the second consecutive time. The recognition was conferred during the Government Financial Management Innovations Circle, Inc.'s (GFMIC) 16th Annual National Convention, held on September 25, 2025, in Tagbilaran, Bohol. This accolade underscores CLSU's exemplary utilization of the Electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS). The eNGAS is a critical software solution designed to modernize government accounting, ensuring all financial transactions are processed with accuracy, reliability, completeness, and timeliness. CLSU stands out among academic institutions, being one of only three universities nationwide, alongside Tarlac State University and Bukidnon State University, to receive this distinction. Other awardees were drawn from National Government Agencies and Local Government Units (LGUs). The award was formally accepted by Mr. John Mark Tangonan, head of the Accounting Office, together with staff from both the Accounting and Budget Office. This achievement serves as a significant affirmation of CLSU's strong commitment to digitalization and its dedication to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy in financial reporting.
