CLSU Ascends to 15th Spot in EduRank 2024

Capitalizing on its prolific research community, Central Luzon State University (CLSU) ascended to the top 15th spot among the 229 Philippine universities based on the February 2024 edition of EduRank. CLSU climbed 3 spots higher from its previous rank in 2023 after showing its prominence in agriculture and allied fields ranking 3rd in Veterinary Science, 3rd in Animal Science, 4th in Agricultural Engineering, 5th in Agricultural Science, 8th in Biology, and 5th in Wildlife and Fisheries Management & Conservation. Furthermore, faculty-researchers contributed significantly with 976 published scientific papers with 7,827 citations received covering the fields of Biology, Environmental Science, Medicine, Liberal Arts & Social Sciences, and Engineering, among others. Other than R&D endeavors, EduRank also looked into the alumni influence of the universities where Mr. Alexis Belonio, who earned both his Bachelors and Master's degrees from CLSU was recognized as the notable alumni for his invention of a low-cost and environmentally friendly rice husk stove. EduRank is an independent metric-based ranking of 14,131 universities from 183 countries analyzing the research outputs, non-academic prominence, and alumni influence of universities as the main metrics. CLSU Holds Blessing for Farmers’ Training Hostel

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) officially inaugurated the Farmers’ Training Hostel during a blessing ceremony held on November 20, 2024. The blessing was led by Fr. Rufo Ramil Cruz, CLSU Chaplain, joined by Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, University President, Dr. Ariel G. Mactal, Vice President for Administration, Dr. RavelinaR. Velasco, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Karenina B. Romualdo, Vice President for University Business Affairs, Dr. Ma. Elizabeth C. Leoveras, Head of Auxiliary Services alongside other esteemed members of the Administrative Council. The newly renovated Farmers’ Training Hostel is a two-story building with 24 rooms, designed to accommodate visitors and guests, particularly those attending stay-in training programs. The hostel is located behind the CEC Hostel and adjacent to the R&E Cafeteria.

CLSU Maintains Strong Global Standing, Ranks 69th in 2025 AppliedHE

In the latest edition of the AppliedHE Public and Private University rankings, Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has reaffirmed its strong global standing by securing the 69th position in ASEAN Region and the 4th rank among public universities in the Philippines. CLSU has been recognized for its high ratings in key areas, including Employability, Quality of Teaching and Learning, Cutting-Edge Research, Community Engagement, Internationalization, and Institutional Reputation. This accomplishment underscores CLSU's unwavering commitment to academic excellence and community development. AFTERMATH AT CLSU | Restore and Rebuild

The recent typhoon brought challenges to Central Luzon State University, leaving visible signs of its impact across the campus.
