CLSU ATHLETE NABS 9TH PH GOLD IN 29TH SEA GAMES

It’s another gold medal for the Philippines as decathlete Aries Toledo placed first in Men’s Decathlon at the 29th Southeast Asian Games, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Aug. 19-30. Toledo, a Novo Ecijano and student of Central Luzon State University, garnered 7433 points after ten events under his category. With his win, he defeated Asian champion Suttisak Singkon (7411 points) of Thailand who placed second, and Vietnam’s Bui Van Su (6737 points) who placed third. It was a close fight for both Toledo and Singkon where the latter managed to close the gap by leading in the Pole Vault and Javelin events. The Philippine bet, however, managed to recover from a then nine-point deficiency as he placed first in the 1500M event of the category. Toledo’s win maintains the Philippines’ pace in the medal ranking of the competition, securing the country’s 9th gold.

CLSU Holds Blessing for Farmers’ Training Hostel

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) officially inaugurated the Farmers’ Training Hostel during a blessing ceremony held on November 20, 2024. The blessing was led by Fr. Rufo Ramil Cruz, CLSU Chaplain, joined by Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, University President, Dr. Ariel G. Mactal, Vice President for Administration, Dr. RavelinaR. Velasco, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Karenina B. Romualdo, Vice President for University Business Affairs, Dr. Ma. Elizabeth C. Leoveras, Head of Auxiliary Services alongside other esteemed members of the Administrative Council. The newly renovated Farmers’ Training Hostel is a two-story building with 24 rooms, designed to accommodate visitors and guests, particularly those attending stay-in training programs. The hostel is located behind the CEC Hostel and adjacent to the R&E Cafeteria.

CLSU Maintains Strong Global Standing, Ranks 69th in 2025 AppliedHE

In the latest edition of the AppliedHE Public and Private University rankings, Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has reaffirmed its strong global standing by securing the 69th position in ASEAN Region and the 4th rank among public universities in the Philippines. CLSU has been recognized for its high ratings in key areas, including Employability, Quality of Teaching and Learning, Cutting-Edge Research, Community Engagement, Internationalization, and Institutional Reputation. This accomplishment underscores CLSU's unwavering commitment to academic excellence and community development. The recent typhoon brought challenges to Central Luzon State University, leaving visible signs of its impact across the campus.
