CLSU Co-Host the 2024 NIW

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) co-hosted the first day of the 2024 National Inventors Week (NIW) held at the SMX Aura, Taguig City, on November 25, 2024. CLSU participated in the opening program and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the exhibit displays, proudly serving as one of the key exhibitors. The University also hosted a pocket event on technology pitching, featuring innovations developed by its faculty and staff researchers. The session was divided into two clusters: food-related and non-food technologies. The food cluster highlighted five products: Mushroom Chips, Mushroom Seasoning Flakes, Arroz Caldo, Ready-to-Eat Papaitan, and Nutribar. Meanwhile, the non-food cluster showcased innovations such as the Bio-Cares Fish Amino Acid, Detection Kit for Aeromonas hydrophila, Biogas Digester Tank, BLASTbiosensor, and a Paper-based Diagnostic Kit for African Swine Fever. These cutting-edge technologies were also displayed in a dedicated booth, emphasizing CLSU’s commitment to innovation and its contributions to the agriculture, food, and aquaculture industries. In addition to the technology pitching, CLSU entered into a Memorandum of Collaboration with The Filipino Inventors Federation, Inc. of the Philippines to push the promotion of Filipino inventions and foster innovation on a national scale. University President Evaristo A. Abella shared that “CLSU has always championed initiatives that celebrate the ingenuity and creativity of Filipino inventors,” highlighting the academe’s role in pushing for innovation. The 2024 NIW was organized by the Rizal Inventors and Innovators Society, Inc. (RIISI) in partnership with SM Aura and SMX run from November 25-28, 2024. #SievingForExcellence

CLSU Celebrates Monthlong CSC Anniversary

The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) proudly joined in the nationwide celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service Commission (CSC), showcasing its commitment to excellence in public service. Throughout September, the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) organized a series of activities for employees designed to foster camaraderie, strengthen professional skills, and promote holistic well-being among its staff. These events include a diverse lineup, featuring Fun Run, Wellness Day, and Sportsfest, which promote health and community spirit, while Customer Relations Management Training sharpens professional skills. The University also facilitated Philsys National ID Registration and a vital Bloodletting Activity, underscoring its dedication to both its staff and the wider community.

CLSU Receives Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity Award

Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through its Financial Management Services led by Dir. Jinky Parugrug, has been honored with the "Outstanding eNGAS and eBudget System User Entity" Award for the second consecutive time. The recognition was conferred during the Government Financial Management Innovations Circle, Inc.'s (GFMIC) 16th Annual National Convention, held on September 25, 2025, in Tagbilaran, Bohol. This accolade underscores CLSU's exemplary utilization of the Electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS). The eNGAS is a critical software solution designed to modernize government accounting, ensuring all financial transactions are processed with accuracy, reliability, completeness, and timeliness. CLSU stands out among academic institutions, being one of only three universities nationwide, alongside Tarlac State University and Bukidnon State University, to receive this distinction. Other awardees were drawn from National Government Agencies and Local Government Units (LGUs). The award was formally accepted by Mr. John Mark Tangonan, head of the Accounting Office, together with staff from both the Accounting and Budget Office. This achievement serves as a significant affirmation of CLSU's strong commitment to digitalization and its dedication to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy in financial reporting.
