Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has elected new leaders for its major sectoral associations this year. Each plays a crucial role in representing the interests and welfare of the university's diverse community. The newly elected presidents will oversee their associations and lead initiatives to support faculty, staff, and allied services employees.
Mr. Ryan B. Esteban is the new President of the Allied Services Employees Association (ASEA) as elected last March 3, 2025. ASEA is a vital association that contributes and supports the welfare and professional growth of CLSU's allied services employees. The association is committed to developing and implementing programs and projects designed to enhance and upgrade the status of its members.
Assoc. Prof. Jeorge M. Dela Cruz is the new President of the Faculty Association Incorporated (FAI) who won in the election held last September 10, 2025. The FAI serves as a critical forum for discussing and addressing current issues affecting the welfare of all faculty members in relation to the university administration. It also provides policy directions and tackles issues that will benefit its members. The FAI President also serves as a member of the Board of Regents after taking an oath before them.
Dr. Virgilio D. Viernes Jr. has been elected President of the CLSU Labor Union of Teachers and Employees (CLUTCHES) last August 29, 2025. This Union is responsible for ensuring full protection to its members, recognizing the rights of teachers and other employees to self-organization, collective bargaining, and security of tenure. CLUTCHES's mission is to ensure just and humane conditions of work for its members.
These new sectoral leaders, who will serve for two years, are expected to work closely with the university administration to ensure a productive and supportive environment for all members of the CLSU community.
