CLSU EXTENSION CENTER PROMOTES SPECIAL RICE PRODUCTION

The CLSU Extension Team on Special Rice Project led by Mr. Armando C. Lagasca conducted a coordination meeting with the Municipal Agriculturist (MA) of Bongabon, Nueva Ecija, Mr. Jayson L. Leonardo, on September 24, 2020, regarding the extension project funded by the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office III (DA-RFO III) entitled “Technology Promotion and Utilization of Special Rice in Selected Town of Nueva Ecija." The team briefly discussed the objectives of the project and the roles and responsibilities of collaborating parties. The MA immediately identified two cooperators who will establish two demonstration sites (one from each cooperator) with an area of 2,000 square meters each site for the production of special rice. The project aims to increase farmers’ income through the provision of necessary support services up to marketing. As a component of the project, the cooperators will receive farm inputs such as special rice seeds, organic and commercial fertilizers, and pesticides for free. Same activities were done to other covered areas such as Carranglan, Llanera, Sto. Domingo, and Talavera.

CLSU Holds Blessing for Farmers’ Training Hostel

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) officially inaugurated the Farmers’ Training Hostel during a blessing ceremony held on November 20, 2024. The blessing was led by Fr. Rufo Ramil Cruz, CLSU Chaplain, joined by Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, University President, Dr. Ariel G. Mactal, Vice President for Administration, Dr. RavelinaR. Velasco, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Karenina B. Romualdo, Vice President for University Business Affairs, Dr. Ma. Elizabeth C. Leoveras, Head of Auxiliary Services alongside other esteemed members of the Administrative Council. The newly renovated Farmers’ Training Hostel is a two-story building with 24 rooms, designed to accommodate visitors and guests, particularly those attending stay-in training programs. The hostel is located behind the CEC Hostel and adjacent to the R&E Cafeteria.

CLSU Maintains Strong Global Standing, Ranks 69th in 2025 AppliedHE

In the latest edition of the AppliedHE Public and Private University rankings, Central Luzon State University (CLSU) has reaffirmed its strong global standing by securing the 69th position in ASEAN Region and the 4th rank among public universities in the Philippines. CLSU has been recognized for its high ratings in key areas, including Employability, Quality of Teaching and Learning, Cutting-Edge Research, Community Engagement, Internationalization, and Institutional Reputation. This accomplishment underscores CLSU's unwavering commitment to academic excellence and community development. The recent typhoon brought challenges to Central Luzon State University, leaving visible signs of its impact across the campus.
